Típika — Local services in Palma

We found this shop using Google Maps and we were looking for a shop to get a good guide book on Mallorca. This shop is an absolute treasure trove with a huge variety of items. We ended up buying an excellent guide book of the island (which included a VERY useful map) and some high quality (non tourist!!) T shirts and some other bits and bobs. Petra (i think who owns the shop) is German (which in my opinion goes a long way to explaining the quality and variety of the stock in the shop!) and she is an amazing lady who speaks at least 5 languages and with a lovely wit and amazing knowledge of the island.

Well worth a visit...

We were looking for souvenirs, and we found this place by accident. We got lost in this small shop for 0.5 of hour! Everything was amazing, many handmade items from Barcelona and Mallorca artists, pottery and pictures. There is also few wooden toys. No Chinese garbage like in 95% of other shops. The seller was very enthusiastic and kind, the shop was tidy and with lot of space.

This shop actually sells items that are typical products of Mallorca, not everything from all of Spain! Good luck 'Whistles' of white pottery with green and red markings, blown glass items, locally made pottery, woven straw bags, Mallorca salts. Well worth hunting...
