Bodega Morey — Restaurant in Palma

What a fantastic little gem in Palma and one of my favorite places on the island! My husband and I literally stumbled upon it one hot afternoon, and as much as I want to keep it a secret, I guess I’ll share with the world.

We were quite hungry and didn’t know what to order but the owner was patient with us and provided great recommendations. The food was DELICIOUS and the homemade Vermut had to be the best I had during our entire 3 weeks in Spain. We had a tasting of the Variat Mallorquí and the local black sobrasada with honey which was insanely flavorful. The portions were perfect and well priced.

Everything about this place was just amazing. The decor and atmosphere was airy and clean. There’s a little outside window table for two that you can sit at as well. It was also impressive watching the owner and one other woman run the place - cooking, cleaning, and serving. We so look forward to going back to eat next time we are in Palma! I love this charming little spot with exceptional food! With only about 5 or 6 tables inside and a couple of chairs/benches outside, it’s an intimate place to go for a quick tapas, apertivo, or for a full meal. The owner is a really pleasant, friendly guy who guided us through all of their offerings and gave us his recommendations. We settled on some of the typical dishes for our lunch. The grilled artichoke hearts with idiazabel cheese and anchovies are not to be missed! The olives, ensalata rusa, escalibada de verduras with bacalao, and bread salad were all so beautifully prepared. You can tell that this is a place that locals come to as well. The owner checked in on us several times to make sure we were enjoying ourselves and gave us a handful of recommendations for places to visit around the island. I wish we had more time in Palma because I would have loved to have come back here. But I look forward to coming back to visit our new friends at Bodega Morey...

Came across this bodega by chance and immediately fell in love with it. Looking for tasty and authentic local dishes without fuss, good regional wines as well as excellent service. YOU'LL DEFINITELY IN FOR A TREAT! Served by your lovely host OCTAVIO.
