I called White by Spa to make an appointment for an Ultimate Foot Ritual for 3 girl friends and I. As one of my friends is Muslim, I requested for someplace private for us. The person who made the booking said they had a private room and would make the arrangements accordingly. When we got there in the morning, the staff directed us to the common area. I assumed it was that room they had booked for us 4.
When my Muslim friend removed her hijab, a staff member said she couldn't remove it since they would be expecting their male therapists to come in and out of the room. Then I mentioned that I was promised a private room for us. The staff member then went on to say that they could give us a private room if we pay an extra fee which was never communicated to me when I made the booking two weeks ago.
My muslim friend then asked the staff member to check if there were any confirmed bookings with men that day as having other women in the room wouldn't be an issue. The staff member then assured they won't send any men to our room during our session and that they would direct the men to another room instead.
Half way through the session, in walks a male therapist followed by a young man (customer). My friends and I were dumbstruck and my Muslim friend was shocked and embarrassed. We then saw the previous staff member rushing to the room and urging the male therapist to leave which he did, leaving the young man alone in the room. My friend and I then immediately asked him to leave the room.
I couldn't enjoy the rest of the session after this episode and apologized to my Muslim friend.
After the session ended, I complained to the manager about it. Though it was clealry their fault, she said I should have requested for the private room when I got there, clearly not taking ownership. She even went on to say that the male customer who came to our room yelled at them and stormed out for being asked to leave.
Later when we were offered the herbal tea and pickle, I saw that their was pineapple in my one even though I mentioned in the form that I was allergic to it. When I complained to the manager about it, instead of apologizing to me, she said that was how pickles were made and I just needed to separate the pineapple from the rest of the pickle. I was surprised when I heard this because clearly she had no idea how allergies could be fatal for some people even when touched. And what was the point of even filling the form if they were going to ignore it anyway?
Clearly Spa Ceylon has hired incompetent, inexperienced individuals who have no idea on how to handle issues or their customers. We werent even offered any compensation.
Even though the massage was good, the service was rubbish. They disrespected my Muslim friend and almost caused a medical...
Read moreVisited the white by Spa Ceylon today for pedicure at ward place only to be left disappointed. The pedi treatment room requires a facelift and the pedi experience is beyond horrid. Felt like I was in a random low grade salon. The AC was set at 28, and it was warm inside the treatment room. The whole point of coming to Spa Ceylon is the experience and the quality of the treatment. This is the first time I was disappointed by the whole Spa experience. The therapist was so unwelcoming, was too stingy to smile, completely unbothered and I felt like a robot was working on my pedicure. In fact, the robot would have a done a better job. The scrubbing of the sole was low blow, therapist had no energy left while scrubbing and I still have dead skin on my sole after the pedi with slight cracks visible too ( my cracks were extremely mild which generally fades away with basic exfoliation) Extremely disappointing and frustrating how even those mild cracks were not scrapped off. Please train the therapist the whole point of a pedicure is to ensure the dead skin on the sole is removed. I requested the therapist to exfoliate the heel slightly harder as I could feel the dead skin and the answer I received was “ this is the best we could do”
I was at the same outlet two months ago for a Full body polish and pedicure believe me the therapist did a wonderful job. Was completely blissed out last time. I also got my waxing done by therapist Ishara Which was top notch and very professional
Todays experience, just spoilt the whole vibe. Spa Ceylon is one of the most expensive spas in Sri Lanka and we as customers are ready to pay the price only to be treated like it. Will not recommend the outlet to anyone and will not visit again unless the therapist is...

These products are value for money compared to the branded cosmetics and other therapy we can buy in the present market. Most importantly since it’s a local product and better to use Dollars in a local product where we get that money to our country. Their body lotions give a strong fragrance like a perfume. They have products to get aromatherapy treatments at home. Herbal infused balms and inhalers work extremely well for the blocks and give a guaranteed sleep.
Not to mention about Sleep Range products, they are amazing. If you buy a one item from this range with a value for $30,000.00 then you get a Gift set from Sleep Rangel. Worth of trying these Pure Sri Lankan Boutique Ayurveda products! My Favourite Body Lotion -...
