BreadTalk - Lipton — Restaurant in Colombo

Breadtalk was always a "okay" bakery untill today when I went to buy a cake. I was flabbergasted by the rudeness of the security guard. When I parked he told me only 5 min allowed. I told him off saying its not his duty to dictate how long a customer spends time at the outlet, at which point he threatened to puncture all 4 of my tyres. How's that for customer service! I wonder how they treat their customers who come in lesser vehicles - maybe they don't allow them to park at all ( btw I mean no disrespect to other customers) I left in disgust not even wanting to waste my time complaining to some idiot manager. Never will breadtalk get a single rupee from me, and I will actively discourage all my friends and family from ever setting foot into that place, atleast till that rascal is around. Breadtalk, if you truly are an international brand and want to treat your customers properly, it's high time you start from the security. Or else, I am sure we're not starving that much to only patronize your ghastly place. There are more than enough better and excellent...

Since yesterday I was calling BreadTalk Wattala inquiring whether they have "Baquette" and they informed its finished. When I called today (1819Hrs) to BreadTalk Wattala they stated that they no longer make "Baquette" -

Wonder why the Quality is becoming down every day instead of increasing? The staff too has no patiences and they were in BIG HURRY to HANG UP. However I called just from opposite of Breadtalk to inquire and i see that there was absolutely NO CROWD on this POYA DAY. Their focus is on some other interest. VERY DISAPPOINTING

Any particular reason why they have to stop production on this delicious...

Bread talk is located at the heart of Colombo. Easily accessible and have ample space to park. Usually crowded all the time in the day. Open early. They have wide variety of bakery items and they keep adding new items. I believe Based on the sales numbers they even remove the items from the offered list.

I prefer sunrise which has a complete egg and bread. Also pizza bum is also good. They offer limited but really good coffee options as well. I like ice Milo which is very tasty. Also they have ice tea as well. For the lunch they offer lump rice which is usually limited and over by 2pm. Limp rice rapped in banana leaf is not a bad option if you look for quick faster lunch. Interior of the restaurant is modern and elegant. You can even host a small meeting in the upper floor. Staff is usually friendly...
