Read moreI was there having dinner with a group of 5 friends. Meat quality was good but the waitress kept on overcooking our meat. She handled three tables and when we mentioned the meat was over cooked (it was seriously well done), she made it sound like the meat was meant to be cooked that way.... she even dropped the fume exhaust tube as she kept on moving the tube out of the way... (I thought the tubes were designed for fume removal....) Overall, we were very disappointed by the service quality so we really think this restaurant is for sure overrated and we will not be returning again. There are many better yakiniku restaurants in Taipei that offer much better service and quality.
I was sent to the hospital A&E about 1.5 hrs afterwards due to the food I had that night. I suffered from serious vomiting and diarrhoea. (I had nothing else after 1pm that day except for the yakiniku that night.) one friend also had upset...
Read moregrowing up with cantonese resto, i care less about service. thus, i mostly judge restaurant food by 3 categories: quality, quantity and price. Hatsu only have one, Quality. The Wagyu beef was good like expected. However the quantity was measer, in order to worth the price the portion need to be at least 1.5x more. I also like the pairing recommendation like wasabi and ribeye or shoulder with dried seawed. Overall, it's a good place to sample wagyu beef, but if you're hungry I dont recommend this place. You need to at least double their regular portion which will be around 9000 NTT. So one ding for the portion or quantity. Price is...
