Wang Steak Taipei Zhongshan North Branch — Restaurant in Zhongshan District

After a two-hour dining experience at Wang Steak, the one aspect that really stands out is the service. It's efficient and not too intrusive. The wait and service staff know when to approach your table and ask if you need additional seasonings or other requests. They are well trained and always polite. As for the main attraction......we went for their infamous steak......well, it left me with mixed feelings. The steak was well seasoned, but the meat was a tough chew. I was really surprised how tough the meat turned out. My mother could not chew half the meat. It was a good portion. The appetizer, soup, beverages, and dessert were all unassailable. But the main dish turning out the way it did left me surprisingly disappointed. But for birthdays and special occasions, Wang Steak is still up there bc of their service. I doubt the people who go are as exacting as I am. But Wang Steak is not cheap. A bill for two came out to be well over 3200 Taiwan Dollars (just over $100 US dollar). #old While dating many years ago, I thought the steak with both western and chinese styles delicious, but not so good if I visited repeatedly. The restaurant adjusted its manu well, that one can taste different styles of steak, whout getting tired of one flavor (because of the steaks are flavored, not only with fresh and salt). Now I have children, finding out that the dishes and service are very friendly to kids. That is, if you wanted a very quited, dim steak house, NOT here. This place was great! Initially a little confusing trying to work out how the menu works. It's essentially a set menu but with lots of mains options. The price on the left starting at $1590 is inclusive of all the things on the set menu. Initially we were concerned it was going to be super expensive seeing that but it's actually amazing value for money. The food was yum and nicely plated. Plus extra amazing it was my wife's birthday so they brought out a little birthday cake and candle as well as a milk tea with our faces on it! Amazing much....
