What an unforgettable experience this was! An African safari had always been high on my bucket list but as a solo female traveler it felt just out of reach. I had been apprehensive to go it alone. When the opportunity to travel to Tanzania with Tanzania Tribe Safari & Explore with Spike had come together & as small group, I knew I couldn’t let the opportunity pass me by. I’m so glad I didn’t.
Knowing that Consea & Spike would not only be planning the trip but also joining gave me an immediate sense of ease. I was able to relax and look forward to the adventure before I even left.
What I didn’t realize was that Consea & Spike's teams had been preparing this journey for years. Their dedication and deep research were evident in every moment from the thoughtful itinerary covering Tarangire National Park, Lake Manyara, the Ngorongoro Crater and Serengeti National Park, to the impeccable timing of our visit during the Great Migration. Every detail was taken care of: the best local drivers, incredible wildlife tracking, and handpicked, one-of-a-kind accommodations in remote and stunning locations with the parks. If something went wrong on the trip, you wouldn’t have known unless it happened to you.
The safari itself was beyond words a truly immersive, humbling experience. We weren’t just observing animals, we were in their world.
Thanks to their exceptional skill, we saw all of the Big Five and so much more. Their ability to spot a leopard lounging from 100+ feet away… in a tree... while driving was nothing short of impressive.
And of course, definitely made sure I felt safe even when we were all joking about the baboons murdering me in the middle of the night. (Nothing says “peace of mind” like a little gallows humor under the stars with some wine.)
This trip exceeded every expectation I had. If you’ve ever dreamed of an African safari, look no further than Tanzania Tribe Safari. Their passion, knowledge and meticulous planning make this a once-in-a-lifetime adventure you’ll never forget. I know that I won’t.
Who knows where they will send me in 2026 but I am already planning to go to South Africa in 2027 with...
Read moreTanzania Tribe Safari is a first-rate, professional organization and we would highly recommend them to others. My wife and I, along with our daughter (age 20) and son (age 15), climbed Kilimanjaro and went on a safari with them recently over the Christmas and New Years holidays.
The entire team for the Kilimanjaro climb was amazing. They helped all of us make it to Uhuru Peak safely despite some challenging conditions (rain, snow, and melting snow on the way back down). The experienced guides (Matumaini and Chedi) were very safety conscious, informative, and had a great sense of humor. The climb is challenging and they helped make it both safe and fun for our family. I can’t imagine a more organized, competent, friendly, and helpful team. I am so glad that we booked the tour and traveled with them.
The safari was equally amazing. Our guide, Isa, was fantastic. We hadn’t been in Tarangire National Park for more than 30 minutes and he helped us see a leopard. Despite the vastness of Serengeti National Park he clearly knew where to search and helped us see numerous lions, cheetahs (with cubs), and another leopard with a cub, among numerous other amazing sights. He was very knowledgeable about the parks, animals, and ecosystems, and traveling with him was a great learning experience for all of us.
When you book a big trip like this it is great to work with a company that is good at anticipating potential challenges and is proactive with their planning. Tanzania Tribe Safari was extremely helpful with organizing all logistics such as hotel stays and airport transfers. The company representative, Davina, is fantastic at her job and she makes sure that everything flows smoothly and that the experience you have is positive from the day you arrive until the time when you leave. This company is great at what they do and we highly recommend them to others who would like to...
Read moreOh my gosh! Where do I start? My three sisters and I booked a trip to Tanzania and Zanzibar through Tanzania Tribe Safari. It can be marked as a trip of a lifetime! Our safari guide, Amini was very knowledgeable about the animals and terrain. Without him we wouldn’t have seen half the animals we saw. Devine was our go to person who was always making sure things were going well. She was fabulous! The hotels we stayed at were top notch and the tent camp was wonderful. We had an in-tent toilet and shower so we didn’t have to go outside to use those things. It was a little unconventional, but it did the job. The chef was fantastic for breakfasts and dinners, and we had lunches packed for our safaris. Our safari guide was top notch! We saw over 60 different species of animals including the big 5. It was a little sad leaving the camp. Everyone was so helpful and friendly. A quick flight to Zanzibar brought us to a beautiful new resort. We got a taste of what life is like for the locals on the way there. They are very hardworking and friendly. The resort was right on the beach and had plenty of lounge chairs for enjoying the sun or shade. The first night dinner was a barbecue on the beach with the table settings that were also inside at the restaurant. Again, the chef was outstanding. We stayed at a couple of other hotels while we were there and they were equally as impressive. If I can make it back to Africa I will definitely book through Tanzania Tribe Safari. Everything was set up for us so we felt safe and well taken care of. It all feels like it...
