Where do I even begin with this awesome place I call home. I first stayed here in December 2023 when it first opened and we have since stayed there many many times whenever we come over from the Serengeti for some R&R. The rooms are huge and so comfortable and very tastefully decorated. The bed is comfortable and I always have a good night’s rest and the room has all amenities, like a robe, slippers, hair dryer, Tv, iron, closet, tea and coffee making facilities etc. The room I stay whenever we visit, which is sometimes twice a month or once in two months, is directly overlooking the stunning Mount Meru. The bathroom is massive by all means and is equipped with a comfortable bathtub, toiletries and the water pressure in the shower is amazing. I have no problem with the Wi-Fi in the room. The breakfast is something I always look forward to which consist of an al-carte American menu, and the donuts are to die for! Breakfast is served in their rooftop restaurant which gives you an awesome view of Mount Meru with lots of fauna and flora, which makes an amazing start to the day.
I have also had dinner at the rooftop restaurant at night its an awesome atmosphere, and again the dinner menu is varied but they nail the dishes to perfection. I like that there is a bar on the rooftop restaurant as well and the prices are very reasonable.
The Sanna Café on the ground floor serves amazing hot chocolate and also serves Kombucha (very rare to find in Arusha) which I miss from home. I like the selection of food and enjoy the chicken and meat pies! The atmosphere here is great and a lovely place to meet new people and friends for a quick coffee, a sweet or savory!
However, the highlight and what makes me keep coming back here and call it home is the amazing STAFF, so amazing, polite and consistent with their service. Every request is met with a smile and a ‘can-do’ attitude. A special shout out to Evalyn, Sharon, Rodgers and Neema at the reception, the rooftop restaurant staff and of course the amazing man behind this awesome place, the owner Prince! An awesome human and Legend!
What I have noticed every time I stay here (lost count of how many) is that the service and quality has increased a notch from my previous stay and has stayed CONSISTANT, something I have not seen in hotels in the entire continent. Keep up the great work guys and I can’t thank you enough for making each and every one of my...
Read moreIt’s a highly overrated hotel and bad value for money, lacking professionalism and quality. It‘s shocking what we got for 160$ (reduced rate from 240$, on their website it goes for 280$). As comparison, the Four Point cost 265$ the same night.
Deposit must be paid cash and in USD, a hotel in this price category should have the possibility to make deposits by credit card. They don‘t have change, so they also just take higher amounts, in our case the doubled amount. It was refused to let us access the room ourself, despite several attempts to explain that we do not need a babysitter to find the room.
The room: Wall and tiles are cracked, paint on the wall is peeling off in places, carpet is dirty and full of stains. The hotel door cannot be locked, the window handles are broken off, no sound insulation, so you can hear the loud music from the neighbourhood, bad network reception in the building, no black-out curtains, the universal sockets are not installed properly and only works with Tanzanian adapter. A message for "Jonathan" was laying around, except non of us is actually called Jonathan. Car in Safari size had to be parked in the street.
Bathroom: Traces of urine on the toilet seat, black residue on the bathtub, water marks on the floor, water damage at the ceiling, missing and dirty joints between the tiles, glue residue on the soap dispenser, no hygiene bin.
The bed: Mattress is hard and uncomfortable, the duvet is longer than the cover, so it hangs out at the bottom, the linen has pilling, the pillow is just cheap cotton wool and the seam on the side is coming off. Stains of a sugary drink from the previous guest on the night stand.
Eating and drinking is forbidden in the room, you have to sign for possible stains.
When a hotel tries to be high end and charges high prices, they must have an eye on detail, high quality finish and good materials. This hotel tries to be luxurious, but the value for money is a disaster, absolute...
Read moreStayed at Sanna Boutique Hotel during my stay in Arusha from the 20th Dec to the 22nd for 2 nights and all I can say is WOW! I was given a room with a mountain view on the 12th Floor and the view was amazing. Price, the Manager went over and beyond to make sure my stay was comfortable as a solo traveller. The staff at the reception, Sharon, Lucy, and Venant were very obliging and helped me carry my shopping up to the room and help with the luggage. The breakfast and dinner were awesome and the view from their rooftop restaurant is breathtaking at sunset and sunrise. I also loved the little coffee shop downstairs that serves awesome coffee and snacks. The morning coffee can be ordered from the coffee shop and it's brought straight to your room at the time you request it! I wanted an early coffee and the coffee was delivered to the room at 7 am.
The location of the hotel makes it a great place to stay for all your needs whether its shopping, dining, or simple to relax, as the rooms are quiet despite being right in the middle of a busy area. The room was large with a small kitchen area with facilities to make tea, and a sitting area/lounge with a flat-screen tv with a plethora of channels, which I did not have time to watch. The best was nice and firm and I had a 2 good nights rest. The bathroom is large and has toiletries, bathrobes, and towels that are of good quality. Overall, I found the room very clean, hygienic, and extremely comfortable and the view of the mountains was amazing. I have to stress on the clean room as I am a clean freak and always loathe staying at hotels with dust, Mold, and smell bad which is very common in Arusha and Zanzibar but Sanna Boutique was a standard above all these, and I hope they continue to keep up this 5-star standard in hotel accommodation.
This is going to be my regular stay when I visit Arusha and I can highly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a clean, comfortable, and...
