The hotel is okay. The room is clean, and the reception staff is nice, but one of the staff members was unpleasant. She worked as a receptionist at the hotel, but I wasnโt sure if she was actually employed there or if she was a scammer. I called the hotel to confirm my booking and inquire about renting a van for traveling in Chiang Mai. She checked my booking, and we discussed renting a van. She recommended booking with a van agency, and we talked about the service fee and schedule. I wanted to rent a van to travel around Chiang Mai city, starting at 7:00 a.m. and finishing by 2:00 p.m. since I needed to check in at 2:00 p.m. A staff member at the hotel told me the rate was 2,400 Baht. This price included airport pick-up and required a deposit of 1,400 Baht. At that time, I thought the price was quite expensive, but I was okay paying 2,400 Baht because I appreciated her help. After the service: When it was time to pay the remaining amount, I prepared 1,000 Baht. However, the van agency told me I owed 1,100 Baht. I didnโt understand why there was an extra 100 Baht, so I asked her again. She said she wasnโt sure and needed to check with the hotel staff. Later, she apologized and said there had been a misunderstanding about the rate. She explained that she hadnโt spoken to me directly when making the booking and had coordinated with the hotel staff instead. According to her, the hotel staff told her that my deposit was just 50%, meaning I needed to pay the remaining 50%, which was 1,400 Baht. This was not the agreement we had discussed! She said if I didnโt believe her, I could talk to the hotel staff. When I spoke to the hotel staff, they insisted that I had misunderstood the deposit terms: 50% upfront and 50% remaining. I was very disappointed with this situation. Two people were against me, and I didnโt have any evidence because the conversation was only over the phone. My advice: Please be careful and avoid using this service. This message is from a Thai person, and I want to share my experience with everyone. I hope that anyone reading this doesnโt go through the same experience as me. Thank you for taking the time to read...
ย ย ย Read moreDo not stay here. They completely violated my family's privacy.
My family stayed here for two nights and unfortunately had a terrible experience. We booked two rooms for 5 people and were only given one key card per room. We asked for second key card per room and were told they would not give us one. We are Thai and were able to communicate clearly so I don't think there was any misunderstanding due to language. Without a keycard in the room, the electricity goes out, leaving the AC and fridge off. After some time, the women at the front desk finally said she'd only give us a second key to ONE room. We had food in the fridge and my youngest sister needs milk stored in the fridge. We left for the day and decided we needed to leave the key cards in the room since there was no other way to keep the fridge one. We left a Do Not Disturb note on our door and they also have a "checked in" light when the keycard is in. Upon our return, we were chased down by the same front desk receptionist returning out keys to us. They had entered both rooms without permission!! They removed the keys and knew exactly who we were when we walked into the lobby. In one of the rooms they had even opened and left the fridge open. Food spoiled and privacy violated. This was so unacceptable. Find another place to stay, there are so many better places. I have never stayed at a place that would do this and would also only give ONE room key when multiple people are staying? Find somewhere else to stay!
This doesn't even go into the detail of how poorly designed their bathroom is. Their pool is also not child friendly, so if you plan to visit and let your kids swim, this is not the...
ย ย ย Read moreOur main issue was the quality in the rooms. We had a room on the second floor.
CONs: the room were really outdated. For the price there were other competitive hotels in the area with much better qualities the restroom had windows opened to the outdoor making it super hot and heats up the room dramatically when room is not being used as they require you to input the key in order to activate the power. the bathroom was also small and oddly shaped such as the location of the toilet paper holder. It will legit be touching your side as you use the restroom. the TV in the room was SUPPPER out dated. It as small and only had local channels that are super pixelated. -they do not provide items you would expect such as toothbrushes and toothpaste. They did give us showercaps and had shampoo and soap tho. No hand washing soap, you will have to step in the shower to get soap and come back to the sink to finish washing your hands.
Pros: they do offer free water and coffee and tea. there is a fridge there is a safe for you to keep valuables. the staff is nice
Overall, we were very disappointed with our stay and left early to find another hotel as we were that uncomfortable here.
The staff was all very nice but our issue was the quality of the hotel itself.
PSA: while Iโm not sure if the currency exchange is associated with the hotel or not, they advertise no fees, no commission but their rate is quite lower than the others in the area. So I believe it is misleading and actually ends up with a greater loss when using their service at the currency exchange in front...
