After reading much positive reviews on google, we decided to try for Chic nail salon.
Went down a week ago with my friends and we were so impressed with the quality and attention to detail. They took their time to ensure the quality is great and that we were left satisfied. Price is fair as well, my friend did henna with Yui and we were pleasantly surprised with the colour difference of henna for detail!
Lyn did my overlay to make sure all my nails are levelled before it’s painted. They have different staff to do different part of the nail routine, (eg: mani scrubbing, overlay, rubber base and then the nail polish & art) so every staff that comes over looks at your nails with fresh eyes to ensure it’s quality.
Shoutout to Toon for suggesting to amend my friends nail’s design when she proposed to make it nicer. It’s this kind of service that you would not get outside easily, and for her to do such a beautiful nail art. As well as Cream, Minnie, Nong and Lyn for your lovely service and making us feel comfortable and at ease.
Will definitely visit as the first stop when I’m back in chiang mai again, to be pampered. Glad to say after a week my nails are still holding on strongly despite how rough...
Read moreChic Nail Salon, you did a solid job on my toes a couple weeks ago but this manicure I had not even 24hrs ago is failing. You can see the chips from where I was typing on my iPad this morning. The left index finger started peeling when I woke up this morning. My hands and fingers are on vacation so not like I’m doing any manual labor to warrant such rapid chipping of the polish.
Also it took over 3 separate conversations to have two separate women get that I wanted round and short not square and long. Perhaps this is not a place for an English speaking person to be understood on these basic preferences but it was annoying to feel like they got it and then to correct on the length and then again on the shape. Clearly showing an example of one finger and saying “short, round with hand gestures wasn’t enough.
Lastly, this was my first manicure ever where she shortened my long nails using a very rough emery board, rather than clipping down and then shaping. My nails feel thinner as a result.
3hr Update: The chipping in the last few hours has gotten pretty bad that i will have to get more polish asap.
First world problem for sure but would have been nice to have a manicure last longer than a...
Read moreI had a very good experience in this nail salon. As I was reading reviews, some suggested I make an appointment first before going. When I called, they didn’t have slots available but they offered a slot 2 hours later and I made an appointment over the phone.
Salon looks clean, nail techs are all gentle but thorough. When I mentioned that the buffing was a little painful she took extra precaution immediately.
Special mention to the store manager Yui - she paid attention to all the clients there. Every once a while she will walk over to different chairs, strike a quick conversation, check on their nails and if they were okay. We exchanged a few pleasant conversations. She is fluent in English.
Nong - my nail tech (there was another lady but I didn’t get her name) painted my nails beautifully.
A lot of prep work was done before applying the polish. Better than any nail salon I’ve visited before. They provided me a charger for my phone when I enquired if they had one. And also passed to me one of their salon pants (they also operate as a massage palour) cause my leggings were too long and tight for the pedicure treatments.
Free wifi & potable...
