Dessert was very nice, looked great, is light and flakey. Not icy like many shaved ice desserts, but quite light, and not overly creamy like ice cream. I really enjoy the strawberry. The problem with the sauce can be it melts the bingsu and can make quite the mess. The taste is very good and gives a nice clean flavour, not overly sweet like many Thai desserts. A couple of reasons why not five stars. Service is a bit slow, but have to try to avoid the long queues. (I first went and there was a queue for seats, so decided to go again a bit later after the crowds left). Seems they have the good problem of too many customers and not enough staff. Personal issue for me, they put the napkin on the serving plate. So when there's a little spill or the bingsu melts a bit, the napkin is wet as well. Again, that is a personal issue. Maybe they can have the servers give the napkins after serving the food. keep the napkins in their aprons. Just an idea. There are many places that have copied Cheevit Cheeva,. I was told they were the first in Chiang Mai and won a people's choice award. Definitely deserved. Hopefully, they can get the staff and service to match the quality of their product...
Read moreMango sticky rice Bingsu (large 215THB) with added toppings on the side (20-30THB for every extra topping).
This bingsu spot offers large portions that are perfect for sharing or indulging solo if you’re feeling ambitious. I tried the Mango Sticky Rice Bingsu (large), and it was really delicious! While it doesn’t quite match the level of bingsu in Korea, it still delivers a satisfying and refreshing treat that’s worth recommending. And the staff was super accommodating and flexible to let me order toppings on the side for a small up charge as opposed to couldn’t decide which Bingsu I wanted!
The texture and sweet taste of the shaved ice is great, and it doesn’t melt quickly, which is a big plus in taking your time to eat it. I highly recommend the mango sticky rice or trying the salted egg for a unique twist and asking for the traditional boba topping for an extra pop of flavor and texture.
The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the cleanliness of the shop added to the overall experience.
Definitely a solid choice for...
Read moreMy friend took me to this shaved ice shop after lunch, and we had the berry velvet bingsu (205 THB). It was my first time trying shaved ice, and it was amazing! The soft, snow-like milk-flavored ice melted so smoothly on my tongue. The topping of fresh blueberries and dried cranberries added a nice touch, and you can pour your own berry syrup from two small cups. At the bottom, there was a delicious surprise of red velvet cake and blueberry filling—definitely the best shaved ice I’ve ever had!
The shop itself is beautifully designed like a little European house, with three glass skylights in the ceiling that let in natural light. The walls are artistically decorated, and the atmosphere is cozy. You can enjoy the comfort of air-conditioned indoor seating or sit outside to feel the natural breeze. Plus, they offer free self-serve drinking water, which is a nice touch. I wholeheartedly recommend this shaved ice...
