Berol Antik — Local services in Beyoğlu

Living in the hotel next to Berol Antik gave me the chance to have a closer glance at the shop and get to know the owner, Mr Şaban.

Gathering a lot of (young) people in front of his shop like a meeting point caught my attention very quickly and without hesitation also I got invited to a tee, which also gave the opportunity to philosophy with this lovely man about life and antiques.

Starting into this business at a very young age helping his father who was dealing antiques aswell lead to a present 30 years of experience. In his shop you can find all kinds of antiques and every single topic of interest. Mr Şaban also gave me quick tour through all the stuff he did not display which is a quite big collection. In a very vibrant quarter this antiques dealer is a must-see and must-visit for everybody who comes along Istanbul.
