📍 Eminönü, Istanbul, Turkey
Eminonu is one of the touristic spot and historic place in Istanbul with wonderful views. Very bubbly and busy. Got an opportunity for a Bosporus tour boat experience. The tour lasts for 1-2 hours for just 25 lira but private and luxurious tour may be more expensive . The tour is a great way have an overview of both parts of Istanbul, the Asian and the European side for an hour or more. I was there around 6 pm ish, so it was great opportunity to see the sunset and the birds . It is a Magnificent waterway and you get to take beautiful photos with the sunset.
One cannot help but drift into the history and significance of the Bosphorus strait, while taking in the beauty that surrounds it.
There are multiple activities on the boat like cultural show, dances and music. Also one can buy Hot tea or coffee, water and and some snacks from vendors on board.
Tram station is nearby. Buses and taxis all around, boats and ferries to the Sultan Ahmet tourist area, the Golden Horn and over the Galata bridge to the Beyoglu/Taksim area, its also a great place to sit in a café and have Turkish tea and pastry and watch the traffic.
Eateries and cafes can be found here. Egypt spice Bazaar and Eminonu Market are worth visiting for shopping. Souvenirs and other stuff can be purchased in a reasonable price. A must visit place to spend time. The best way to reach here is to take a Taxi or Tram (either from Taksim or where ever you are).

Read moreHorrible. Beautiful views. But terrible treatment. Aside from stealing from you, they treat you like dirt. Maybe it’s just towards tourists. Two members of the staff were physically pushing my grandfather off the ramp while exiting because he was moving too slow. They even sounded the boat horn which nearly gave my grandfather a stroke because of how loud it was. They did not care that he was an older gentleman. The ramp was very slippery and people were falling one after the other, they did not care and continued shouting at us. Save your money. Take a ride on a more sophisticated ferry. This one is terrible...
