Ağa Kapısı — Restaurant in Fatih

I am visiting Istanbul every year sometimes even often. I also visit every time Aga Kapisi Restaurant. In the past, last year and the year before that a had always a great experience (food, service, menu, view etc.). This year I decided to choose this Restaurant to organise a Birthday Party for my sister. I came in the morning to make a resevration and organise everything. Try to make everything perfekt. Also gave the money in advance (TIP) for the better service. Girl in the morning was very helpfull and cooperative. We came in the evening (some time earlier) 6p.m. Our table was not ready. There was other people seating at our place. They didnt know anything about reservation. It was like that I came to wrong Restaurant but it was the right one. They try to put us seating outside, altouhgt we want to seat inside. They didnt help us to prepare out tables. Outside was very cold it take them 30 minutes to close windows. We couldnt do it alone because it was electric windows and we need remote. After 45 minutes we didnt get and drink and service at table. After that 1 hours seating at table without menu and drink we decide do leave a restaurant. Restaurant was almost empty there was 3 people working and it was barely 3 tables covered with customers. It was empty. After I want to leave came I suppose the person of charge looke me and said what we are doing. I sad leaving. He looked me and said it is your fault without any respect and hesitation. I just looked him and sad thank you for your service leaved him a TIP (for terrible service) and leave a restaurant. The view from the rooftop/terrace is amazing (!!!) and the service staff and owner are very friendly. I can't give more stars due to several reasons though: 1) Been there many times and each time cappuccino and other coffee sorts besides Turkish coffee were not available. 2) The one time I actually ordered Turkish coffee it was served to me the traditional Turkish way - with a tiny glass of water. The water didn't taste the way it should have. It was a very weird and gross taste. I will never know for sure if my stomach cramps and diarrhea afterwards were a result of me drinking that water but it's highly probable. 3) The toilets for females stink extremely and are very dirty. Amazing cafeteria, food and drinks are good and reasonable prices,very good service, amazing astonishing views of most important parts of istanbul,showing Halic,main halic bridges ,Galata tower,busphourus, Golden horn, camlica tower and more,who ever I invite from my friends to this place got impressed and even overwhelmed with the view,all off them thanked me for bringing them here,I highly recommend this place to all tourists who visits istanbul,this cafeteria is hidden and not known by the foreigners, usually the nearby uni students attend it,so when you visit istanbul come here you will...
