Several weeks ago, I spent a few hours with Ahmed in his carpet store in Cappadocia! He kindly answered my many questions and I learned so much about the meaning hidden within his carpets. The most challenging part was deciding which carpet to buy 🤣❤️. They have so many different colors and styles and sizes. I brought my husband back to their store the next evening. Over a cup of tea we decided on three different carpets. He kindly permitted me to video tape his explanation of each one. He also packed them up for shipping to the USA at no charge! He waited three weeks for us to get home before shipping. Today the carpets arrived at our house in perfect condition. I don’t buy many souvenirs from our travels, and these will bring back a flood of joyful memories for years to come. I also know what I want to order from them for my next wedding present! He welcomed us so graciously, took the time to explain every detail about each rug, and patiently showed us over 50 different pieces so we could make our choice without any rush. Ahmet was also extremely fair and kind during the negotiation — we reached a great deal that felt honest and balanced for both sides, which made the experience even more pleasant. To make it even more special, he served us traditional Turkish tea, a delicious local sandwich, and incredibly, even gave us a ride back to our hotel after the visit. We found Cappodocia Rug Collection on-line. Having 5 stars made us want to check out their collection of rugs. I was very specific in the size and colors that I wanted. Ahmet and his brother were wonderful in showing us several rugs and explaining their history. We also loved learning that the brothers are following in the family business. Their mother sold the rugs and carpets and their father repaired them. They have incredible knowledge of Turkish rugs, how they are made and where they are from.

We went back the following evening to pick up our rug for our flight the following morning. Ahmet was so helpful. He escorted us to a restaurant for take out, waited with us, then drove us to our hotel with our new rug.
