From the moment our safari guide ( Fadil ) picked us up from the hotel, hospitality was at the forefront. The guide was not only knowledgeable about the desert's ecosystem but also deeply passionate, which added an enriching layer to the experience. As we ventured into the vast expanse of golden sand dunes, I couldn't help but marvel at the sheer grandeur of nature surrounding us.

The highlight of the safari was undoubtedly the dune bashing experience. Our skilled driver ( Fadil ) navigated the undulating terrain with finesse, taking us on an exhilarating rollercoaster ride through the sands. It was an adrenaline-pumping adventure that left us simultaneously breathless and exhilarated.

Following the heart-pounding dune bashing, we were treated to a mesmerizing desert sunset. Watching the sun dip below the horizon, casting an ethereal glow over the desert landscape, was a truly magical moment that will stay with me forever.

As evening descended, we were welcomed into a traditional Bedouin camp where we indulged in a sumptuous feast under the starlit sky. From aromatic grilled meats to delectable Middle Eastern desserts, the culinary offerings were a true delight for the senses.

The cultural immersion continued with a range of activities, including camel riding, henna painting, and shisha smoking. Each activity provided valuable insights into Bedouin traditions, allowing us to connect with the rich heritage of the region on a deeper level.

Our evening desert safari with Desert Rose Tourism was hands-down one of the most unforgettable experiences of our entire trip to Abu Dhabi. From the moment we were picked up at our hotel, everything was executed with professionalism, warmth, and genuine hospitality.

The drive into the desert was smooth and scenic, and once we reached the dunes, the real adventure began. The dune bashing was exhilarating—our driver was skilled and clearly experienced, taking us on a thrilling rollercoaster ride over the golden waves of sand. Just when we thought it couldn’t get more beautiful, the sun began to set. Watching the desert transform under a glowing orange and pink sky felt like stepping into a dream. We paused for photos, and the views were absolutely postcard-perfect.

At the Bedouin-style camp, we were greeted with Arabic coffee and dates and welcomed into a beautifully set space that felt both authentic and relaxing. The camp was spacious, clean, and thoughtfully organized with plenty of activities: camel rides, sandboarding, shisha lounges, henna painting, and even a spot for dressing up in traditional Emirati attire for photos. Every detail was designed to immerse you in the culture, and yet you never felt rushed—just completely at ease.

Dinner was a delicious buffet of grilled meats, flavorful rice dishes, salads, and desserts, served under the stars. The live performances—Tanoura dance, fire show, and belly dancing—were mesmerizing and added a festive yet elegant touch to the night. The energy was joyful, but not overwhelming, which made it perfect for relaxing after an active day.

What really stood out was how well-organized and thoughtful the entire experience was. Every transition was seamless, the staff were attentive without being intrusive, and there was never a moment where we didn’t feel safe, cared for, and completely immersed in the magic of the desert.

Wow what a trip. We have just had the most amazing desert safari. Nadeer our driver was amazing. We had a couple of concerns regarding our youngest managing the dune Bashing as she struggles a bit with ravel sickness. Straight away Nadeer talked things through and we (decided to just go for it with the full dune bashing with the option of toning things down if we needed to…. No need to worry Nadeer’s skill behind the wheel meant although absolutely exhilarating no travel sickness occurred infact the exact opposite squeals of excitement and joy from all of us (and the youngest saying it was ‘the best day ever!!) Nadeer checked in regularly to make sure everyone was ok and you could see he took pride and immense joy in making the experience as amazing as it was. After a couple of stops in the desert for pictures we arrived at camp. Here we were able to watch the sunset, try a camel ride, have henna tattoos (the lady that did these was very skilled at doing these the detail was great) we also tried sandborading which was great fun and reminiscent of the good old pre children days of snowboarding, we also tried on traditional Arabic clothing and held a Falcon for pictures. Then the shows started over a BBQ dinner which were also all excellent. The fire show at the end was spectacular, and then the evening was rounded off when the camp was darkened and we spent some time stargazing. We were then transported back to our hotel safe and sound tired a little bit sandy but overall excited and overwhelmingly happy to have spent the day with Nadeer and the team at camp on this trip. Genuinely the highlight of our holiday and highly recommend it to everyone!

As a secondary point I would also say the booking process was so easy / seamless, I enquired over WhatsAppg via the website and after a few questions and a short conversation over WhatsApp the trip was booked and we made payment on the day. We paid a little extra for a private car for the 4 of us so as not to ruin anyone’s experience if the dreaded motion...
