A Shameful Disgrace in a Land Known for Its Hospitality – Tikka Tonight Madinat Zayed
We are visiting Abu Dhabi during Ramadan 2025, and our experience in this beautiful country has been nothing short of amazing—filled with warmth, generosity, and the famous Emirati hospitality that truly makes you feel welcome wherever you go. Except, sadly, at Tikka Tonight in Madinat Zayed.
We arrived at the restaurant around 3:24 AM, hoping to have Suhoor after reading some decent reviews. What we encountered instead was coldness, dishonesty, and a shocking lack of compassion—especially jarring during Ramadan in a Muslim country.
The man on duty—tall, bearded, and husky—dismissively told us that the kitchen was closed and the staff had gone home. Meanwhile, we could clearly see food still being served, dishes being brought out, and the kitchen fire still visibly on. When we politely asked for just a naan and chai, explaining we were visiting and had nowhere else to go for Suhoor, he simply refused. We weren’t asking for a full meal, just enough to keep the fast—and we were willing to pay.
My wife, clearly distressed, pleaded again. His response? A heartless “no,” without even a shred of empathy.
This kind of behavior stands in complete contrast to the kindness and hospitality we’ve experienced throughout Abu Dhabi, where people go out of their way to make sure you’re taken care of—especially during Ramadan. To be lied to and turned away like this, in a place claiming to serve Suhoor, is disgraceful. Not only is it bad service, it’s deeply un-Islamic, and a stain on the values that this blessed month represents.
Feeding someone for Suhoor is an act of reward and barakah in Islam. To deny it—not just with indifference, but with blatant lies—is beyond comprehension. It was humiliating, heartbreaking, and something I wouldn’t wish on any fasting Muslim.
If I could give this place -10 stars, I would. Tikka Tonight Madinat Zayed has completely failed the test of humanity, honesty, and Islamic values. This restaurant does not reflect the spirit of Ramadan or the incredible hospitality that defines the UAE.

Read moreAmazing cheffs but pathetic management. On Eid's first day I went with family there at the muroor branch and expectedly it was crowded and few people infront of us in the waiting list. They put me in the waiting list at 8:08PM and said it will take 30 minutes for us to get a table. I understood and waited outside in the car with my family for 40 minutes but they did not call. Went inside and they said wait another 15 minutes to get a table but after 15 minutes also they could not manage to get us a table. They kept on appologizing for their mismanagment and after 1 hour 15 minutes of waiting finally we got a table. It does not end here. They took our order and one of the dish was not available so they gave us an alternative which i took and ordered that but after 2 minutes of giving the order the guy comes back and says sorry we are out of this dish as well. Disappointed with this pathetic management and service, I quietly stood up, took my family and left the resturant. Im a regular customer and I am wondering if they are doing this to their regular customers then what would they be doing with new customers. With this kind of mismanagement they lost a regular customer and they might lose more if they...
Read moreI have never seen such a worst behavior and serviced Pakistani restaurant in Abu Dhabi. I was with my family and friends. We were ordered 1 Full and 1 half chicken Tandoori. They have serviced without Mayonnaise, Garlic, Hummus, and Kubboos. When I asked, they said the chef was not available to prepare those. They have intended me to order extra Gravy. I was ordered 2 more Chicken gravies. It was OK. I ask for some extra plain gravy. They said NO. Then I was ordered a Dhal fry and tasted it. Believe me, it was spoiled and slightly started bad smells. I complained to the server. The Cashier tasted it and said that the Pakistani foods taste like that and it's not like south Indian food. In my 18 years of experience in UAE, I have tasted a lot of Pakistani foods in UAE. I have never faced such a worst food anywhere. Even, I have tasted their food in their Mussafah Branch. It was Good. I have never given any worst reviews to any of the restaurants in my life. But, the people in the restaurants did not realize their mistake and did not answer well. Maybe they respond only to the Pakistani or Hindi-speaking...
