Disappointing Experience with Long Delays and changed laptop serial number and not getting back to me after they promised to fix the mess they caused !!!

I brought my MacBook Air to this shop for a motherboard replacement and was promised to have it back in two days with all my data intact, as my hard drive was not damaged. However, it took them a week to return the laptop, which significantly impacted my work and caused unnecessary delays.

When I finally received the laptop, I was informed that they had replaced the hard drive without notifying me, claiming it was necessary to match the new motherboard. This was never communicated to me beforehand. To make matters worse, my laptop was completely wiped, and they requested my consent to transfer the data from the old hard drive which I didn’t feel comfortable doing. Alternatively, they offered to provide me with a piece that would allow me to transfer the data myself, which I agreed to do. However, they did not provide me with the promised piece for another week, so I’ve now had to buy the part myself just to transfer my data.

On top of that, when I started the laptop, it displayed a flashing folder with a question mark, I had to contact Apple Support and they said this indicated that the computer's startup disk was no longer available. and I had to follow recovery steps to fix the issue, which was extremely frustrating and it's not even fixed because IOS can't read the new disk they installed. As of now, the issue is still not fixed. Also my laptop serial number changed and my Apple ID read it as a new laptop !!!!

While the repair itself was done at a reasonable price, the lack of clear communication, significant delays, unexpected data loss, additional technical issues and the appearance of a new serial number made this a frustrating and disappointing experience. It has been over 3 weeks, and I’m still dealing with the consequences of re-downloading software, transferring my data, and resolving problems that I had not anticipated when I initially brought in my laptop and I don't even know if the laptop will work again...

Needed a repair for my water damaged iPhone, nowhere else could do it in store meaning I'd have no phone for weeks. Zaman fixed my phone back to better than it had been previously to getting damaged, he went above and beyond what I expected and gave me complete confidence throughout the whole process.
