I felt I had to come on and write a review of our time today celebrating our daughter’s 12th birthday. We had paid a lot of money for lots of children to come to the party, which amongst other things was to include, as stated on the website … ‘your own private area’… On arrival I was gutted to find that we had been allocated a long narrow table with literally no extra seating, squashed in an area and shared with 2 other groups of children and their families and balloons celebrating their birthdays. Well, my heart sank. I questioned where our private area was and was told there wasn’t one and that what they used to use, that they used to decorate and was sectioned off, was now the VR area. It did not feel special at all and I felt so gutted. Anyway, Christian came to the rescue and found us an area next to the VR area and began moving all the tables, tablecloths, chairs etc there. He dealt with the situation amazingly and although not ideal, given what I had booked, it was better than trying to all squeeze into the area we had initially been allocated. The party thereafter was amazing, all made possible by the wonderful team namely Christian, Duane, Caitlin and the lovely Christina, who was our party host. She made our daughter feel so special and hosted the party so well. She is such a genuinely warm, lovely girl and worked so so hard today making sure everything was perfect. I can’t thank her enough. Also Duane is a total asset to Mulligans. I was really annoyed (to say the least) today and he spoke with me privately and listened to me openly and I do feel that the problem was resolved. The customer service of how we were dealt with was exemplary and all of the staff worked their socks off. I would also say that the food was very good value and delicious and the facilities were in well kept, good order. I started the party on arrival feeling regret that I had booked there but it was turned around. However head office really need to stop advertising wrong information because had it not been dealt with as it was today then it could have been a whole different experience. Most parties when you are spending that kind of money, give you a private area that has space around you, even soft play places you get this … so I really strongly believe that this needs to be rectified as I don’t know if I would risk another party here incase an area couldn’t be accommodated next time, like...

The venue had a completely dead atmosphere, with hardly anyone else around, which made it feel quite awkward rather than fun. The courses themselves had little to no variation and quickly became repetitive. The only mildly engaging aspect of the course is a touchscreen which allows you to spin a wheel and take part in a challenge before your turn.
The staff didn’t seem particularly interested either. They didn’t make conversation, stood around awkwardly, and didn’t bother to explain or elaborate further on anything asked, even though we mentioned it was our first time visiting. You’re basically handed a club and left to figure everything out for yourself. Though, it’s hardly surprising this was the reception we got given how dead it was. Saying that, it’s clearly a common occurrence given other reviews have said the exact same thing.
To be fair, depending on who you go with, you can still make your own fun and enjoy yourselves to some extent. But overall, I wouldn’t recommend this place, especially when there are much better options in Birmingham, like Golf Fang, which offers a far more lively and engaging experience.
A shame, as the venue has the potential to be something great. But without any energy in the place, everything falls flat. A little goes a long way, and in this case just a bit more...
Read moreTurned up without having been before, so wasn't sure of anything, in my group was 3 adults and 2 children, altho there was 4 staff behind the bar, none seemed interested in giving out info, here's your clubs off you go, it was 11am & the place was Dark. There are no space between holes and no barriers to stop the balls from going off course, parts of the course were ripped and it wasnt 'clean'. there's no walkway or places to stand whilst others were taking their turns, you had to either climb on the uneven pretend rocks or stand on the course, my elderly mother fell over due to this and had to be helped up by a member of the public. No staff was on the course to advise or help. The 'arcade' was 2 games, one being ice hokey and other a basketball game, each lasted less than a few minutes, there was pool and darts but you had to pay £10 per hour for pool and £15 per hour for darts, so the £3 tokens could only be used on the 2 games. We had 3 slush puppies and 2 icecreams for £23 & altho no1 else was being served , I had to stop the staff from chatting among themselves to get served, they didnt willingly want to serve me, i asked for a tea and was told it was instant ( powdered) or to leave and go over the plaza to costa coffee. there were plenty of tables and chairs to use and this area was clean. I won't...
