Well first id like to say it was meant to be as a Mother’s Day present for my nan that me and my family bought her we paid £100 for “luxury” afternoon tea for 4 and was incredibly disappointed the food made us ill.
Our booking was at 12pm we were outside for 20 minutes when finally a worker shown up went inside and took another 10 minutes to let us in so already our booking was being delayed.
When the waitress came to order our drinks she had no pen and paper no iserve nothing to take her order (very unprofessional) and kept messing our order up and got us to repeat it 10 times. We then went on to tell them we had the groupon offer and also needed to order a separate mean since they diddnt offer gluten free options when we had already secured with them about my nan being gluten free but we were open to buy her a sperate meal instead and ordered the grilled salmon with truffle mash, sounds beautiful. 30 minutes later the afternoon tea comes out and looked atrocious it was also missing items out that the menu said it included. we asked where the salmon was as ofcourse we all wanted to eat together and was also waiting on extra sides we order and said the salmon was on the way, but it wasn’t we were the only table in the whole restaurant which should have been the first red flag and as this place has an open kitchen we saw the chef (NOT IN CHEF WHITES IN HIS OWN CLOTHES WITH NO HAIR NET NO BEARD NET EXTREMELY UNCLEAN AND UNPROFESSIONAL) get the salmon out and put it on a pan so he must have forgotten to make it or the order had not been put through, we were all incredibly dissatisfied and disappointed with the quality of the afternoon tea and we also ordered extra chicken burger sliders which where pink inside and all the desserts looked and tasted like they just chopped up some cheap deserts from Morrisons down the road from them, not really giving luxury dinning is it? 40 minutes later the salmon and mash for my nan came out and it was a disaster it had been microwaved and my nan did not want to eat after having to wait that time and eat separately to everyone sorry but this is so wrong and I work in a restaurant myself all the staff were so unprofessional and honestly diddnt know what they were doing at all so then after we declined to have the salmon and diddnt want to eat the disgusting afternoon tea we asked for the bill and the supervisor said he is not going to charge us for all the extras and drinks and sides ( AS WE HAD ALREADY PAYED FOR YHE AFTERNOON TEA) so we thought it was sorted but no a few of us use the toilet and after everyone leaves and I’m the last one out ( I’m a child still I’m 16 and everyone else was over 40 but chooses to ask the child? Weird.) She says that the bill isn’t setteled When we have been told by the supervisor that we wouldn’t be charged and was back and fourth with us when we said no as of how big of a disgrace this whole experience was and food was unedible and went on to try scam us that we had to pay for drinks when they were included In the groupon that was already payed in advance and tried to make us pay for the sides and extras and we explained why and declined and finally went to her phone and must have called the owner or someone higher up and said to not charge us and we left ( still having to pay £100 for the afternoon tea )
This whole restaurant is off there is so many cameras gives off a bad vibe and being the only table in the whole place just shows other people see that too . We will NEVER be coming back again and will be letting everyone we know how horrible this experience was sort your staff out and their training and also sort your food out obviously this place only cares about what it looks like and not the quality or flavour of the food this is actually the worst restaurant I’ve ever been to and working at a restaurant myself I can see how terrible this place is....

Went there over a year later (on 22nd December 2023, evening):
I absolutely commend that you do not serve alcohol. I commend your fast action to take Coca-Cola off the menu as part of the move to boycott companies that support the genocide in Palestine.
But i am truly at difference with the standard of your service and your food. My friend and I were walk-ins, yesterday. I had told them that I tried your food over a year ago and was not impressed.
I'm going to keep things short. I'm no chef but I take pride in good food. I'm very keen on method, and flavour. I've been to a huge variety of low-end and high-end fine dining restaurants in the UK and abroad of a variety of cuisines. Partly at my expense, and partly on company expense given the nature of my work and travel. I'm saying this because you undermined my views in your previous reply.
Your food doesn't quite sit within a certain experience. You're edging on fine dining, but the presentation and quality of what's came out your kitchen is substandard.
Not a single person out of four enjoyed the meal and refused to pay service. It took over an hour to receive our mains and many things were cold.
Few additional points:
you were out of chocolate fondant and brisket burger (two things I ordered). I went for your "signature" but was told by the waitress to get the cowboy instead. Why would the waitress deter me from your signature burger? Your waiter didn't know what the soup of the day was and had to go to the back and ask... Very odd. your starters were... Boring. For £18 we didn't get much my friends corn soup had probably a can of green giant worth of sweet corn in his plate. The plate was also sticky. It looked terrible and the bread was floating on top of it, soggy and all like porridge. my burger was so flat. The beef was dry and crumbly. Zero flavour. Genuinely regretted not opting for Pepe's. So bland. the fries were stale and oily. You can't just fry cut potatoes like that. You need to dry them off. You're oil might be old and have lost its hydrophobic properties. the rice was cold for the shank and ribs. The rice had to be sent back. the lamb and ribs were just underwhelming. My friends did not enjoy it at all. The lamb shank was grey and dry. Moist in parts but no flavour. -pastrami Sandwich - poor man's attempt. Image attached. the drinks were "OK"
Presentation was so bad across the board.
I've attached more photographs. Your prices have only gone up with no improvement the quality of your food. I'm downing you another star and I will not be returning to eat there again.
When my friends wanted to eat at Meat Club, I kept my opinions after my previous review close to my chest as they were adamant to try your food. But I regret not being more forceful to save their pocket.
We paid £150 for a table of 4. Every single person did not enjoy their food.
Previous review :
Underwhelming. Great spot and great decor. But it is a restaurant and you can't escape that.
The mushroom balsamic on sourdough just didn't work for my friend. He ate it all, and I had a bite, but it's a poor starter. It was too hearty and a bit sweet.
The mains were equally disappointing, all except the chips. The presentation was great but the pulled chicken was tough and even a little charred.
The most disappointing thing was the brownies. The dessert was more like a hard concrete cake than a brownie. The cream and ice cream just didn't go well together.
Each of the brownies was around 7£, and the total bill was around £25 per head. Needless to say it was overpriced for what it was--the food just didn't cut it for me on...
Read moreMeatClub is a halal fine dining steakhouse located in Birmingham, England. The restaurant serves up a variety of premium cuts of meat, all cooked to perfection on the grill. The menu also features a selection of seafood, salads, and sides.
The atmosphere at MeatClub is elegant and sophisticated, with plush seating, dark wood accents, and dim lighting. The service is attentive and professional, and the staff is knowledgeable about the menu.
The food at MeatClub is simply outstanding. The steaks are cooked to perfection and are incredibly juicy and flavorful. The sides are all delicious from the ones we tried.
I had the pleasure of dining at MeatClub with my wife recently, and we both had a wonderful experience, especially as it was her special birthday. We started with the spring lamb chops, which were perfectly cooked and had a great kick of flavour. Followed by the Tacos with Brisket meat. For our mains, we had the flat iron steak, which was cooked to medium and was melt-in-your-mouth tender. And a signature brisket burger. Absolutely smashed the flavours. We also shared the mac and cheese, which was creamy and cheesy and had just the right amount of flavour.
For dessert, we shared the san Sebastian cheesecake, which was rich and decadent. We also had a glass of pina colada mocktail and strawberry mojito with our meal, which was perfectly paired with the steak.
Overall, we had a wonderful dining experience at MeatClub. The food was excellent, the service was top-notch, and the atmosphere was elegant and sophisticated. We would definitely recommend MeatClub to anyone looking for a special occasion dining experience. Rohit the manager (pictured with me) personally served us. He bought the dessert with a candle and the whole staff sung happy birthday which was very appreciated. Restaurant is halal so no alcohol onsite.
Here are some pros and cons of MeatClub:
