All Saints Hove — Local services in England

As a rock concert venue it looks great, spacey, soft drinks only bar (I think its BYO for booze, though not sure as I don't drink). Being on only one level viewing my be more tricky for shorter people, if you go to the sides the huge pillars can get in the way. The toilets are also a bit of a trek. Being in a residential area the bands also come on very early. The real downside is the sound, Beach House was just about ok in places but not very loud, whilst Deerhunter was very poor sound. The high ceilings and all the space means it reverberates all over the place. Maybe the venue works for other bands but not the two I've seen. Shame as its walking...

Huge church that could work as a concert venue with the right powered and acoustically positioned PA system and a higher stage. However AKA Trio's Afro-Spanish first-night-of-tour performance (Brighton Festival) was invisible and almost inaudible to most of the hundreds of paying audience members as stage was too low for the 3 sitting musicians and tiny PA totally inadequate. Inevitable lack of raked seating meant only tall people could see the musicians. Understaffed bar at interval (for a single band performance?) meant long queues - but cans of vegan beer from the Gun brewery proved to be the highlight of the otherwise...

Absolutely brilliant place to bring young children as they have a group on called Little Fishes Monday afternoon and Tuesday mornings. Ends with singing and story time. My son loves coming here, great selection of toys for the children, great space for children to roam, lovely staff and they even have a little cafe which is really nice, and even the staff are super friendly. The group provides snacks for the children and they also have a clothes donation bank which I find super helpful as I'm a stay at home mum to my 1 year old boy. This is definitely our favourite...
