SpudSea — Local services in England

We chose to try SpudSea instead of usual fish and chips at the beach today. The service was very quick as everything was ready and hot, classic options on the menu but I went for bbq pulled pork. Wow. What a topping for a jacket potato! My wife had cheese and chilli con carne. Again, very nice combo and one of her favourites. We sat on the benches directly outside the door as the sun shone over the beach and side of the pier where there was not too much foot traffic walking by when eating, but enough to know you are in a popular spot when the customers stop to grab a spud. Had a lovely jacket potato with the kids and we all thoroughly enjoyed it! We were served by the owner and his daughter — both of them were absolutely lovely and made us feel so welcome.

We tried four different jacket potatoes, and each one was delicious. You can really taste the quality, and it’s clear they put care into what they do. Definitely worth the money!

Highly recommend giving these guys your support — well worth a visit and a great spot to try...

What can I say, absolutely delicious. Totally hit the spot, even though it was a hot day the jacket spud with tuna, cheese and crunchy onions was a perfect light bite to enjoy by the sea. The chap serving was lovely too, really friendly and helpful. I'll definitely be going there again on my next visit and would highly recommend Spudsea if you're after something a little lighter than your standard fish...
