Ice Cream Emporium — Restaurant in Portsmouth

I have just left this shop incredibly upset at the treatment of the incredibly rude woman staff member. I ordered two ice creams and went to pay by card but realised I had to transfer some money from my savings account to my current to pay for it, I noticed the woman behind the counter was getting impatient with the situation so I was being as quick as I could. The signal was very bad so I couldn't transfer so I said this to her, there were about four people waiting by this time. She said in a really abrupt and rude manner " well step outside and do it" ....I tried this and thought it had been sucessful then tried to pay again but it had not worked because of the signal. I said, I'm sorry I can't do it and can't get a signal. She got really cross and shouted as I was leaving and said " you come in here with no money" and told me to get out! I have never been so humiliated! She turned so nasty when she knew I wasn't able to pay at that point. She had a foul mouth and a terrible , unhelpful attitude. There's other ice cream shops near by that were so lovely and kind, I will never go back to The Ice...

Limited seating but on a sunny day you don’t really need to eat in as you can’t sit on the beach, a bench or just stroll along the sea front. It’s a little expensive but decent enough. They manage the long queues well so wait times aren’t too bad. The selection of ice creams is large and we’ve never been disappointed. I find it odd that some people queue for 10 minutes and wait until they’re at the counter to then spend a few minutes deciding what to order. There’s a menu in the window and you can always poke your head in and have a look without pushing in. Maybe I’m just a grumpy turning into...

The best ice cream shop in Southsea! The staff are so friendly here. There is a good range of ice cream flavours, and their pink and white ice cream cone is certainly eye catching. They do milkshakes, made with any flavour of ice cream you would like! I would thoroughly recommend the waffles, which come in many flavours, along with a scoop of ice cream in any flavour as well! The prices are very good, and they're a lot cheaper than Scoops, and a lot better....
