As you approach this car park your number plate will be automatically recorded by camera. The barrier then lifts and you drive in. No ticket is issued at this stage. On returning to your car, when you wish to leave, you must first go to the pay station to pay. This is situated through the doors that lead to the stairwell, which is immediately next to the car park exit. You will need to know your car registration number. Again, no ticket is issued when you pay (although a VAT receipt can be issued on request). Once you have paid, walk to your car and then drive to the exit barrier. The barrier lifts, and out you go. There is a 'help' button at the barrier should you have any problems. I parked here on a Sunday evening and the car park was virtually empty. It costs £2.50 all day at weekends. I chose to drive there and so needed a nearby place to park. The multi story car park is in the centre of it all easy to find with plenty of spaces available at the time I arrived.
