This is the worst fish and chips I have ever had in my life, maybe it was because I bought them at 8.30 at night, in the photo that you see, that is the amount I left, the chips were very chewy, it was like Rushton Roulette, the odd one was soft, but the rest, I just could not believe chips could be so chewy and hard, my chips must have been in there all day, surely there were fresh chips somewhere in the glass cabinet, but not for me. When I first opened the box I couldn't wait to take a bite of fish before sitting down and eating them, I pulled a bit of fish and batter from the end and put it in my mouth, it had a strong fishy weird taste on the fish and batter, as if it hadn't been washed properly or something, I threw it in the bin, I tried just a bit of batter, but that had the fishy taste too, but I was starving so I took another bit, until I just couldn't eat anymore i couldn't bear the strange taste, the scraps were okay though and lots of them, so I ate as much as I could face, scraps really are not exactly what you should eat for your evening meal. The price was £6.70 which for fish and chips is great but I'm going to pay the extra £1 and buy them from a proper fish and chip shop, I did get charged 50p for using my card otherwise it would have been £6.20 cash, the lady behind the counter was very friendly! I made myself beans on toast, which were blooming fantastic actually, I had to eat something after that disaster. I will never step foot in that place again, it's a complete waste...

These are so much of a rip off merchant went to the shop last night for a birthday treat so I ordered 2 omelettes and cartons of gravy waited like 25 minutes of it which it wasn’t that busy then when I got home I found that they have only given me 2 omelettes without no chips and so I went immediately back because I only live around the corner then I explained that they didn’t give me the chips and all that I got was that it doesn’t come with chips and that I never asked for chips I said that the board at the menu is on clearly states that it comes with chips and peas and for £7.50 for an omelette which I thought included the chips then she said yeah don’t take any notice of that we do our own prices and I noticed that someone has put a £2 on the chips on the board which wasn’t there before I replied so how much would it have been with the chips she said that the chips are separate and it would of come up to £14.50 but I will only let you paid £4 for them so I had to pay extra for chips then when I got home I noticed that the gravy was 2 carton of curry so I spend £19.80 for 2 omelettes and 2 cartons of gravy which were missing and a extra £4 on chips will never go back there again please avoid unless you like paying stupid prices just for a small...

Wow now I’m sooo fussy with Chinese and Dubious as york sucks for a decent one! this was absolutely the best Chinese in york based in tang hall and one on tang hall lane normally rated the best (hit and miss) This was beautiful Chicken curry very nice slightly spicy lots of chicken. King prawn Chow Mein (skinny noodles, not my go to but preferred chunky, yummy and prawns fresh and perfectly cooked with fresh veg! Huge portion. Spring rolls (flavoursome and a huge size you get 2) Spicy chilli chicken was one of the nicest in a long time. (Soooo much chicken) Chicken fried rice (was a big portion) Chips as a side for chilli chicken (propper chop shop) all for £39 left over...
