Stopped in for lunch yesterday and couldn’t believe the price of things and almost walked out straight away but my auntie had already ordered. The choice of food wasn’t great and I refused to pay almost £10 for a bowl of soup. Ordered a ham & cheese sandwich as it was the only thing that sounded half decent. I thought for almost £9 it would be a really nice / fancy sandwich but couldn’t believe it when it was put down.
Just a plain baguette, not buttered or slightly toasted. You need a set of teeth like Jaws from James Bond to get through it, it was as dry as the Sahara Dessert. Had to ask for mayonnaise but that never really done anything either. The only saving grace was the coffee was good but didn’t get time to enjoy it as I had to chug it down to help move the sandwich. Took half the sandwich home but couldn’t eat it so it went in the bin. Biggest waste of money. I’ve had better in a £3 meal deal in Tesco. The service was alright but our coffees came with no spoons and had to use a knife.
Over priced, over hyped. Certainly won’t be back.
Ripped seats as well which wasn’t too...
Read moreTerrible!!! Misleading website said it was open until 5pm, arrived there at approx 4.15pm (after an hour's drive) only to be told that the kitchen shut at 4pm! The place was completely empty, no-one sitting finishing off their drinks/meals and it looked as if it had been shut for quite some time. Staff obviously don't mind standing around doing nothing for an hour - they're getting paid after all, and they came across as lazy and disinterested. I was really really angry and upset that we had travelled so far for nothing so my husband took me for a wonder around the shops to try and cheer me up, on our way back to the car park we saw 2 members of Patisserie Valerie staff serving coffee to a member of staff from Wagamama's and another person!!!!! So much for the kitchen being closed at 4pm!!! Looks like they just did not want to serve us. Don't know how other people are writing glowing reports about this place, my experience has been the polar opposite. Won't be back EVER, won't be recommending to...
Read moreAbsolutely woeful service at Silverburn. Emailing the company now to complain.
Stood at entrance 'please wait to be seated' like a spare part for what seemed like 5 minutes whilst two waitresses stood chatting to a table of customers. No more than 10 covers seated at the time.
Having given up approached counter with waitress grim faced and unwelcoming mumbled something like 'you'll be seated in a minute'.
15 minutes passed and we decided to sit ourselves at a table.
Another 15 minutes passed without service when I decided enough was enough and approached the counter to ask whether it was 'self service' to be told to sit back down.
We were given no cake menu and handed one without feeling we had time to decide and panic ordered.
For the 60 minutes we were sat there the table adjacent to us was not cleared.
When given our cakes no cutlery was provided.
The two waitresses working looked so unhappy with one pre-occuppied with talking to a table...
