Victoria Street Car Park — Local services in Liverpool

I parked here yesterday, for 29 minutes and was charged £8.

There now seems to be a flat rate of £8 ‘for up to 3 hours’. Utterly disgusting.

Don’t use this car park.

At the time of writing this, the review score is 4.3. I can't think why it's so low! It's located in the city centre within easy walking distance of, well, everything. From the outside it looks very nice (we won't mention the trees they cut down to build it - typical Liverpool City Council environmental vandalism). The entrance is a good size so your alloys will be happy. The car park itself is always clean and tidy as are the stairwells and the section where you pay. The signage is good and it's a safe environment for you - and more importantly your car. ;) The spaces are a decent size, too. It's not that expensive either; usually costs £4.00, for example, for just a couple of hours. You need your ticket to get out - no plate-reading...

I don't know how reasonable it is for a parking lot that claims to be open 24/7 everywhere to close at 8 PM. There was also no proper signage. It was quite difficult to access our car and leave the parking lot. Right after we entered, the shutter at the entrance started to close. My spouse stood under the shutter to prevent it from closing, and if he hadn't done so, the people coming after us wouldn't have been able to access their cars either. They thanked us for this. Yes, this might be very good for security purposes at night, but there should be a notice about it at the parking lot entrance. That way, tourists like us wouldn’t struggle to understand how the parking...

We parked here for the parade having walked I don't know how far when I got to the carpark I couldn't walk any further my partner went to get the car and the lovely parking attendant brought me a chair to sit on while I waited it was a lovely gesture and welcomed , although as we couldn't get out of the carpark we were charged an extra £2.40 as the ticket time had run over I think this needs looking into as we paid £16.40 to get out...
