A hairdresser at this salon ruined my hair. She left relaxer on too long, going off to chat with one of her colleagues. She then combed my hair through, scratching my scalp. (I have since found out that this should never be done while relaxing hair). My hair ended up falling out and I was left with breakages, extremely dry hair and a bald patch at the back of my head.I have had to have my once healthy, lustrous hair cut really short. I cannot overstate how traumatizing this has been. This hairdresser was unprofessional, never apologized (although she said that she had!) and was rude, uncaring and dismissive. My family are really upset for me. I am still struggling with this awful experience. UPDATE!! * The salon has responded to my review. All I can say is that I am shocked at your reply. To lie about what happened and to say that the hairdresser is not responsible, and that I colored my hair, and you tried to warn me is an awful terrible lie. My hair was not coloured at all during that time! I DID NOT COLOUR MY HAIR ( why are you saying that.) I think you are mixing me up with someone else. So not only is my hair ruined but you are now telling lies about my character. What with the trauma of this situation you have now made it worse. This you have done in order to please other customers and keep a good reputation at my expense. If you believed you were not in the wrong why did you admit to it at the time and return my payment? Your lies about what really happened are absolutely disgraceful and to accuse me of being aggressive is so upsetting and untrue. What a terrible thing to say, because it absolutely is not true. In actual fact I was sitting down after the damage, waiting for my hair to be re-neutralized and conditioned, I asked the hairdresser why she never apologized and she said she had, once again so rude, and dismissive while I sat there feeling awful. You were NOT there and have taken the word of the hairdresser who ruined my hair. How terrible to tell lies in order to make yourself look blameless, you should be ashamed. I am so disappointed at you stance on this and how you have made up a lie to cover yourselves. How awful to not admit an awful mistake was made and then say that it is my fault. And why did the hairdresser say she had apologized? So now not only has my hair been completely ruined you are now discrediting my character, shame on you. Please in all honesty why would I make up a lie? I hope your conscious will make you admit that people do make mistakes, no one whose hair has been damaged by incompetent hairdresser should then be blamed for their mistake. What a heartless, mean thing to do. I personally take responsibility for my own mistakes and I think anyone with any integrity would do the same. I am in my 70âs and would describe myself as an honest person so your message is particularly hurtful. Anyone seeing photos of the damage done would be shocked too. I know this is a long message but I feel it is important for you to not get away with...
Read moreIts hard to write this review as all the staff at 330 are so incredibly nice, efficient and welcoming but I feel I need to share my experience. I chose the salon after doing extensive research/looking at reviews on line after a long line of disasters in the past. At the time, reviews stated 330 were experts on curly hair. I thought my lifelong search for a decent haircut was over. On my first appt with Tiff all seemed to go extremely well with my cut. I have incredibly volumous wild frizzy curly hair and asked for the volume and bulk to be lessened. I felt she really listened and understood me and the cut looked a success (despite her using tonnes of sticky finishing product which made my hair feel hard and very glue like but I wasn't too bothered with that as it washes out). I will say though its only truly possible to see what the result is until you get it home. Still, I was over the moon at the time and gave her a hug as I thought my search for a great stylist was over. The second cut seemed ok at first (although the volume was getting bigger as time went on) but after a few days I noticed the cut looked lopsided. I thought I was going mad thinking I was imagining it as never before has anyone managed to give me a haircut one side longer than the other at the front (especially being a 'curly specialist'). I rang the salon with my concerns and to their credit offered to put it right that evening. On this appt Tiff apologised saying its quite hard to get the layers right in curly hair and was glad I came back so she could put things right! To even up the hair meant cutting more off the length which of course left it shorter than I wanted as I am very keen to grow it which takes forever. As expected she didn't charge me which was good. Also I remarked on the fact it was still very volumous and she just replied 'yes'! So now I am left with a short, bulky, puffy, frizzy mop of hair in the shape of a step like triangle (my No.1 criteria was to eliminate the bulk!) with quite a large chunk of hair hanging down my back like a Davey Crocket hat! I am bitterly disappointed especially as I was under the impression they were specialists. I may as well have gone to Supercuts or hacked away at it myself and saved a fortune! I will now try Toni & Guy and hope for the best for a decent cut. It will also take ages to grow. What do us curlies need to do to get a...
Read moreTerrible cut in October 2022. Please read before you get a cut here. Firstly, the staff are friendly, the salon is clean and tidy and has a nice atmosphere. However, I left it this long to review in case my daughter learned to loved the awful cut she was given but she hasnât. My 15 year old daughter has always loved her curly hair but now she hates it. Curly, it sat at her shoulders but straight it was waist length. Lisa chopped so much of her hair off that when it is straight, it now hardly reaches her armpit and when curly, it is a round circular Afro shape which we did NOT ask for. I asked for a trim and slight shape from Lisa. We showed her pictures of what we wanted. I told her my daughter is a performer so her look cannot be drastically changed. She didnât listen and literally lobbed her hair off. Not only did she remove loads of length (probably because she wasnât combing her hair through to ends but combing down the hair shaft to create knots at the end and then cutting above the knots off), but Lisa left one side of my daughters hair with a severe step. Not graduated as the other side was. And the choppy / stepped side is visibly shorter than the graduated side. It was almost as if she started rushing towards the end. My daughter also left with a headache and had to take painkillers because once her hair was dried, Lisa spent about 15-20 minutes fluffing and patting and banging her head over and over again, making the hair stand up on end, which is not what my child or I asked for. I wish I could attach pictures to this review for you to see what a mess was made. My daughter now hates her hair, I feel like all my hard work of growing my daughters hair long was destroyed in one visit to this salon. If you want a hairdresser who LISTENS to what you want, DO NOT use Lisa. The treatment was the only good thing about the style. Now we blow dry her hair and keep it in box braids (for the first time in her life!) because she is too ashamed to show her real hair. My daughters beautiful curly hair has been hacked at and destroyed. AVOID...
