The Reliance — Restaurant in London

Been here lots of times, mainly at lunchtimes. Family-owned, friendly staff and great, varied selection of beers - all seem to be kept well. Particularly enjoyed the wheat beer on one occasion. Also good bottled beer selection.

Only eaten wraps/snacks here but these were to a good standard. The menu is more extensive than this and, from what I saw, it looked good.

Agree with a previous comment that the men’s toilets (underground) were pretty smelly, with dark, awkward stairs to reach them.

Overall though, it deserves four stars.

I’ve had a bad experience here. We went to sit down on the upper floor but were told by a woman working there that we’re not allowed at 1:30am because they’re going to start moving everyone down soon. When we got downstairs we ordered beers and at 1:40am the same woman was rushing us to leave even before the last call bell, while multiple people were still at the pub, not being bothered this way. Eventually she said to us, “come on, I want to go home” so we left in anger. I contacted the pub to give them a chance to rectify the treatment but...

We ordered espresso martinis which were not very good. The barman seemed very irritated by the fact that we said we going to go to a new bar. To make matters worse the manager told my friend, who is queer, that she is “loco” and told her that she should change the way she behaves if she wanted to be accepted in other places. He was in general very homophobic, and rude. If I could give this place a zero I would. I recommend that everyone...
