Disappointing Experience at Alo Knightsbridge Store

I visited the Alo store in Knightsbridge shortly before closing time and, although I understand it was near the end of the day, the level of service my companion and I received was extremely disappointing and unprofessional.

We entered the store around 7:50 PM, already knowing what we intended to purchase. As we made our way to the men’s section, we noticed two staff members—a male and a female—engaged in a personal disagreement. They glanced over at us and gave what felt like a disapproving look, without offering any sort of greeting or acknowledgment, which immediately made us feel uncomfortable.

We proceeded to ask a female staff member for a specific size, but before we could even finish our sentence, she abruptly responded, “We don’t have it,” without checking or showing any willingness to help. Her tone came across as dismissive and uninterested.

Shortly after, from across the room, one of the staff members shouted, “We’re closed now,” in a tone that was both abrupt and discourteous. Another team member, who did not appear to be a manager, approached us with a similar attitude, reinforcing the overall unwelcoming atmosphere.

Due to the unprofessional behavior and poor customer service, I decided to leave the items I had selected behind. I had intended to make a significant purchase, but the experience was off-putting enough that I walked away—and I won’t be returning.

As someone who was genuinely excited about Alo and its presence in a prestigious location like Knightsbridge, I found the conduct of the staff incredibly disappointing. If this is representative of the store’s approach to customer service, it will likely deter more than just myself from shopping there...
