Sadly, I have to mimic what a few of the negative reviews are saying about the Cigar Lounge and Cigar selection which has seen a shocking decline in quality.
I visited this weekend to ask about their Cigar Lounge and if there was space and if I could acquire cigars.
Roughly a month ago, they had cigars from all over the world. Award winning cigars such as Plascencias and others. Although, when I went there this weekend it was exclusively Cuban.
With a horrific mark up on them, that sadly can't be pinned on import taxes or similar.
There was no reason for them to get rid of the New World cigars at all other than, what I assume, is profit margin. It's incredibly disappointing, and frankly, confusing.
It would be no different to entering the Wine and Alcohol section only to find only French wine and no other selection at all. Going to the whisky and scotch section only to find Johnnie Walker and nothing more.
To add to this, the Customer Service from the salesman was, frankly, unacceptable. I assume he was having a bad day, or at least I hope he was. Although judging by the other reviews, that may not be the case.
The cold attitude he gave towards me and my friend put me on the defensive immediately. There was no welcoming attitude. Nothing of the sort. His shoulders were slouched, barely made eye contact, huffed and puffed, and clearly didn't want to be there.
I know that perhaps it's a fictional trend in Luxury establishments to have certain staff members who have that "IDGAF" and sarcastic apathetic attitude. Especially in TV shows. Though this shouldn't translate to real life, especially if people are willing to spend time and money within your store.
I likely won't be coming to the cigar lounge again due to the Customer Service as well as the bizarrely xenophobic nature of their cigar selection. When things change, I may return.
Until then, I'll be in the Baccarat Lounge or having my...
Read moreI'm a long time customer of Jjfox's st James location. Visited here due to that one being closed for the bank holiday. The two are worlds apart in terms of customer service. Service at the Harrods branch is somewhat standoffish. Sampling lounge was 'full' when we visited and we said we could come back after a little shopping. Enquired on when approximately there would be space, "I can't tell you that". Said we would return in half hour or so. Went to the Rolex boutique and bought a watch from a fantastic sales guy called Vlad. We came back around an hour later and asked if we could sample some cigars now "no, it's still full". Funnily a minute later, an Asian gentleman walked in and was shown directly into the sampling room. Rather odd.
Ended up at sauter around the corner where we managed to sample cigars and pick up a few fantastic boxes! Will steer clear in future.

Read moreI went in to Harrods Cigars to buy a few cigars. I waited around for a bit before being served, which is fine. However, once I was served, the assistant wasn’t very helpful. When I asked questions regarding the Cigars I was given very generic answers. I had to warm him up quite a bit to get him to start talking a bit more. It was closer to closing time and maybe it was a long day for him, so I will give him the benefit of the doubt. Overall the cigar range was okay. I will definitely return hoping for a better interaction and maybe try out the Cigar Lounge.
However if you are looking for a bigger cigar selection with amazing service, DavidOff Of London on St James Street would be the one for new...
