Caffè Concerto New Knightsbridge — Restaurant in London

They shortchanged me 12cents (see receipt in photo & read on) for their mess up.

Save yourself the disappointment and go elsewhere. It pretends to be a high end cafe but it was severely lacking.

A server, Saqlain, sat us. We later asked to order but he needed to speak to another server right at the moment we were trying to order - he practically yelled while at our table. It was really weird & unprofessional.

When we received our order - it was wrong. I ordered a concerto hot chocolate which should have had whipped cream (it didnt) & my husband the pistachio Spanish latte (it wasnt pistachio). The person who delivered it was surly & acted like it was our fault when we pointed out this was incorrect. He did get my whipped cream but informed us there was no pistachio latte today... Then why bring us the wrong latte? The server should have come back and asked us to order something else. Instead we are served something we didn't order because it's close enough.

We were annoyed but wanted to have our hot beverage so left it. Both drinks were MEH. If you are familiar with Milo, the hot choc tasted like the cheapest watered down milo ever - I couldn't even drink half of it, awful. The latte was doubly meh. The whipped cream on my drink & the macaroons were okay.

I asked for the bill which I looked over to ensure we werent charged for a pistachio latte we didn't get.

Guess what? It clearly shows pistachio Spanish latte on the receipt. I pointed out that its wrong and that the normal Spanish latte is 1£ less so it needs to be corrected.

Saqlain had the cheek to react & tell me that its priced the same. I told him to bring the menu because I know what I saw & sure enough - 1£ difference.

He went and spoke to the surly server from earlier then came back and told me we can pay 1£ less.

I was so fed up. I paid. Now though I see there is a 12.5% charge on our order. That means 1.12£ should have been removed from my bill! 12 cents isn't going to kill me but this was the cafe's mistake and I am miffed.

So please dont bother with this horrid place. It's only good to take a picture in because its interior design is pretty. They dont care about providing good service at all. Go to another cafe and spend your hard...

Terrible experience. Yesterday evening visited this busy restaurant. Was seated at the extreme end. Had bags with us. I was facing the wall, and my spouse and daughter went to the restrooms. Upon leaving, we noticed my backback missing. Fortunately, nothing valuable in it. From the surveillance cameras of the store shown to me, 2 elderly (late 50s) entered the restaurant and were seated behind me by the waiter serving us. These criminals left a few minutes later without ordering anything, and the waiter was not seen anywhere near them when they left. One used a long handle umbrella to pull my bag from under the seat whilst the other individual threw a jacket over it and left the restaurant. I am sure this is not the first incident that took place at this restaurant as these criminals knew what they were doing, and coincidentally, no waiters were there when they left (which normally has a person waiting to seat patrons, the restaurant's serving area and the cashier where these two criminals were seated). I am also the other surveillance footage will also show clear images of these two criminals. So all I can hope is for patrons to be aware and for the restaurant to report the theft to local police and to warn customers of these incidents. Recently, I visited Caffè Concerto and I must say the place is truly beautiful and elegant. The decor is classy and the atmosphere is welcoming, making this café an ideal spot to relax and spend some quality time. However, my experience was unfortunately disappointing due to the service.

I had to wait 40 minutes for two coffees, a hot chocolate, and two desserts. Considering the crowd and peak time, some wait is understandable, but 40 minutes for a simple order is really excessive. I expected more efficient service, especially at a place of this level. Additionally, the water we ordered never arrived at our table, which added to our dissatisfaction.

While the staff was friendly, the organization seemed lacking. The waiters appeared overwhelmed and not well-coordinated. This negatively impacted our overall experience. The manager should seriously consider improving the situation to ensure the service matches the quality of the ambiance.

Despite the beauty of the venue and the quality of the food, the long wait time and the lack of attention to details, like the missing water, ruined what could have been a perfect experience. I hope the management can improve these aspects because Caffè Concerto has a lot of potential to be an...
