BaseO Stratford — Local services in London

Due to a recent experience with this shop made me drop 2 stars. I am a regular customer in this shop, going there for a few years and yet, didn't expect to this. I went and i bought a laptop this shop, i paid £450 or £470, can't remember exactly because i was told i will get a discount because i am a regular. That laptop was there for sale for a few months at the same price. After a few weeks after i bought it i was short of money and i went there to pawn the laptop and i was told that the price has dropped significantly and now they are selling this model with around £200 so they can give me unde £100, eventually they gave me £100 because i am a regular. What i want to say is DON'T BUY anything from these shops. They will try to rip you of everything. Check online shops, you will find new products at similar price or second hand one at real second hand price. In my opinion they should be ashamed for doing this kind of things because they already gain 30% a months from the loans. I would've dropped more stars but it was helpful when i had something to pawn for a short time. ‐----------------- Quick update! Been there today to put my xbox in buyback and i was told to change my review. I said i will not do such thing and i was told that that they will ban me from the shop if i won't do it and i said ok, i can take my business somewhere else 😂. I went Gadget after and sort out my money problem. Nice management they have there, trying to blackmail for reviews. A true manager would've took my review as a constructive feedback and would've worked on it. Shame for you guys 👎, will drop to minimum...

Baseo Stratford were selling an item ( 5G router ) on ebay, I wanted to buy one and saw that it is sold in Stratford which is very close to where I live so I decided to go there and buy directly to avoid waiting for shipping. Because it is a router for mobile broadband it works well or not depending on where you want to use it. Before buying it I specifically asked if I can return it if it doesn't work well for and I was told yes within 30 days. I wanted to return it after 3 weeks ( used it for about 2 but wasn't good enough for my needs ) and I was told no refund because it has no fault and quoted thats ebay policy when actually in ebay policy if you want a return if you "changed your mind" and the seller has the listing marked as accepting returns (which it is link below ) the you have the right for refund. What makes it worse is that I specifically chose my words and specified how I am going to use it to make sure that I am eligible for the refund if it doesn't meet my needs and I was assured that I am eligible for it. Went to buy a lens, negotiated a price which they said and I agreed. My bank card had issues so they suggested I quickly go to the bank around the corner while they hold this lens for me.

When I got back to them (same day), they saw me coming in and quickly took the lens off display shelf, telling me it sold on ebay.

I checked ebay listing and it was removed, only for it to be listed again next day and it's still listed there (ebay item number 326409191875).

They decided that they didn't want to sell at the price they agreed with me.

Item is listed as brand new and unused on eBay. When I inspected the lens in the shop, it had heavy usage marks with scratches on lens hood and paint missing from aperture ring. They deliberately hid these flaws on eBay (I pointed this out to them in the shop and the acknowledged that it has been used and showed significant signs of use) they also admitted that the lens had been sitting on the shelf for 4/5 months. Price in shop was £1250, they agreed £1150. They have listed this on eBay £1650 or best offer.

Person who decided not to sell it to me is owner Danish. His floor salesman Shoaib had agreed to sell for £1150.
