A Nice Little Gem in Stratford Old Mall! 🌍🍽️

5 Continents in Stratford is a great spot for anyone who wants to try a variety of international dishes all in one place. As the name suggests, it offers a mix of cuisines from around the world, including Asian, European, Caribbean, and Middle Eastern flavours, making it an ideal choice for groups with different tastes. It essentially functions as a food hall, where you pick your food from the stalls and find a seat at one of the shared dining areas.

Located in the old Stratford Mall, near the vegetable stands, it’s hard to miss as it’s one of the busier parts of the shopping centre. I’ve tried Shawarma Shack, which serves delicious Middle Eastern food, as well as the South Indian stall, both of which were excellent. My friends have also visited the Caribbean and Japanese stalls and have always been happy with the quality. Most of the time, I grab a takeaway to bring back to my office, but occasionally, we eat in the food hall to take a break from work.

The seating area is moderately spacious, and it’s a great option for families, groups, or casual dining. The staff are friendly, and the cleaning team is very active in ensuring tables are cleared quickly for new guests.

One small downside is that it can get quite busy during peak hours, so finding a seat can be tricky. In those cases, a takeaway might be the better option.

Overall, 5 Continents is a solid choice for anyone looking to enjoy a wide range of cuisines at an affordable price. A fantastic food hall experience...

Tried 5 places so far Amigos - Burgers are nice on the half price promotional offer, but not worth the full amount. A little underwhelming Hi Wok - Very good food, chopstixs but better both in value and taste! Friendly service too Danube Kebab Point - AMAZING. I love the Mix Shish Wrap. A little salty but very generous portion for the price. Service is prompt Iro sushi and poke- Lovely sushi, don't have much else to add. Excellent service, smiley and cheery Hailstorm - Hot dogs are good, but underwhelming for the price. Chips are average. I can get much better at IKEA for like 70p. Service was good however! Da Mac - I ordered the fish burger and I really didn't like it, tasted like something microwaved especially for the 20 minute wait I had to endure. I would like to give it another chance with their beef burgers.

Bought Chinese food from Hi Wok. Not many places to sit. Poor customer service skills from both security and somebody claiming to be owner. Very loud music playing which was making it difficult to hear conversation with friend. Owner informed us that music was being controlled by 'somebody' upstairs and he had no access to person to turn down loud music. Come on guys this was at lunch time, just wanted somewhere quiet to eat and chat with friend. I can understand loud music playing in the evening but not at lunch time. Security person and owner could do with some training in customer services aswell. We were rudely asked to leave when finished eating. Will not be...
