We stopped by to Antalya restaurant on our way to the British Museum, which is at a distance walk. Delicious Turkish food! We tried the borek, the hummus with lamb pieces, the lentil soup, the chicken salad, the avocado salad, the spaghetti, the chicken spring rolls, the Turkish tea, and the katmer, and they were all delicious. The food was flavorful and authentic, and the portions were generous. The service was friendly and efficient, and the atmosphere was relaxed and inviting. I would definitely recommend Antalya Restaurant to anyone looking for delicious Turkish food in London. Here are some additional details about the food: - The borek was flaky and savory, with a hint of cheese. - The hummus with lamb pieces was creamy and flavorful, with a hint of spice. - The lentil soup was hearty and flavorful, with a hint of mint. - The chicken salad was light and refreshing, with a hint of lemon. - The avocado salad was creamy and flavorful, with a hint of chili. - The spaghetti was al dente and flavorful, with a hint of garlic. - The chicken spring rolls were crispy and flavorful, with a hint of spice. - The Turkish tea was strong and flavorful, with a hint of cardamom. - The katmer was sweet and flaky, with a hint of honey. On a final note, this is the first time I took picture of a bathroom for a review - it was so clean and well kept. Kudos to the owners!

Came here with 3 friends yesterday because the restaurant is absolutely beautiful. But, the only good thing was the dessert and drinks. The service was poor, despite the fact the restaurant was not full. We had to chase down our waitress every time we wanted something. While we were waiting to order dessert and drinks, the waitress walked past us three times and still did not acknowledge our table. There were issues with our meal that I can only raise now because our waitress did not check on our table. The other staff were very cold, never smiled and would give us dirty looks if we asked for something because our waitress was missing. For example, we asked a member of staff different to our waitress for the bill. She brought the bill and the card machine. I asked if we could take a look at the bill first before we paid and she gave us a dirty look and walked away. The food itself was overall bland. We ordered the rib eye steak which had no spice rub on it. Which is not what you expect for a turkish restaurant. The chicken soup looked like a bowl of sick and tasted like nothing. The vegetable spaghetti was ok but very oily. We liked the goats cheese salad and the tabule was nice. The best part of the actual meal was the bread. It was clearly baked in house and was really tasty. All in all, they need to work on their service massively and season their food.

Went here with a group of 10 - dinner service was great and food was good only issue was portion size was small for prices. What was a huge let down, is when the 4 of us at end sat outside for Tea/Desserts, there were ash trays and we were told smoking was ok. However after lighting one Cigar for a bit the waitress started making facial expressions of disgust at the Cigar. I believe the supervisor or manager came to tell us to stop smoking Cigar in a nice manner but I found it disrespectful given there was no valid reason as we were in the smoking area - he mentioned it could annoy others but how is that any different to me smoking 10 cigarettes outside in open air. He said you can smoke cigarettes but not cigars which doesn’t make logical sense. Cigars are what gentlemen smoke of high stature whereas as anyone can smoke a package of cigarettes. I had to hold my ground but it made the whole experience after very uncomfortable and disappointing especially after spending something like £400 as a group. I’m not sure I’ll return here but I’d advise either banning smoking completely outside your restaurant for consistency or treat gentlemen who want to smoke a high-end Cigar with the respect they deserve.

Last weekend, I had the pleasure of celebrating a dear friend’s birthday at Antalya Restaurant, and I must say—it was nothing short of magical. Nestled on the edge of Bloomsbury, this charming Turkish-Mediterranean spot welcomed us with warm hospitality and an atmosphere that felt both inviting and vibrant.

From the moment we walked in, the ambience set the tone for the evening. The interiors blended rustic charm with touches of elegance—mosaic lamps cast soft, golden hues, and traditional Turkish art adorned the walls, offering a sense of cultural richness without overwhelming the space.

As a group, we were catered to with grace and attentiveness. The staff seemed genuinely delighted to be part of our celebration. They didn’t just serve us; they hosted us. And when the birthday cake came out—accompanied by sparklers and a joyful chorus—the whole restaurant seemed to join in the celebration, making it feel even more special.

Now, let’s talk about the food. Wow. Every dish was a testament to bold flavors and thoughtful preparation. The mixed meze platter was the perfect start—silky hummus, smoky aubergine dip, and perfectly spiced sucuk, all scooped up with warm, pillowy bread. For mains, the lamb shish was tender, juicy, and beautifully chargrilled, while the vegetarian moussaka was hearty and bursting with flavor. Even the rice had its moment—fragrant, buttery, and moreish.

Desserts were no afterthought either. The baklava was crisp yet syrupy, served warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream that melted just slowly enough to be indulgent. It was the perfect end to a flawless meal.

As we lingered over Turkish tea and exchanged stories, it became clear that Antalya isn’t just a restaurant—it’s an experience. One that brings people together through food, culture, and genuine hospitality. If you’re looking for a place in London to mark a special occasion—or simply want a meal that feels like a warm embrace—Antalya is where you need to be.

We left full, happy, and with memories we’ll treasure. A birthday...

Good food.Questionable service. The food was good, just as good as you would expect from a good Turkish restaurant.Nothing special but no complains either. The fresh orange Juice was phenomenal though. Dessert was good and there was no delay at any point.

As for the service, First of all, we had our Dinner(Ramadan Iftar) at Antalya on a weekend, so I understand how busy everybody was and how stressful it can get,but few things happened which made me question the quality of the service there: 1-We were indirectly forced to leave so that the place can accommodate another party as big as ours, may be we overstayed our welcome a bit. 2-We had some leftover pizza from the lunch of the kids after a long day wondering around London, one of the kids wanted a slice before the food was prepared,we offered him one ,but the one of the staff showed up asking us to take it away as it is not permissible to have food from outside the place ,I understand that rules are rules and I respect that, but one could argue that they might’ve let this one slide as we’ve had ordered lots of food already. 3-This one was the most irritating to me. I had a cup of Turkish coffee after food, it was cold and simply bad, had couple of sips from it to give it another chance before sending it back- as I rarely send anything back- but it was really not even drinkable. I asked for the waitress’s help in that, when she showed up first thing she said that we should’ve tried it immediately after it was served-which I did- before it gets cold, and then she argues about how many sips I took from my cup before finally accepting to take it back! So my question to management here, is it really worthy arguing over a 3-pound cup of coffee in a 400+ cheque? Had some good service moments too,but the overall experience was less than optimal and a bit...
