A must-go place if you are a train and tube enthusiast. The shop has surprisingly good stock of all things transport from fridge magnets to underground line cushions. I bought myself some transport theme broad games and will recommend you the Mind the Game one that works on the similar logic of Uno but the power cards are tailor-made to the underground circumstances like all changes or taking out one line etc. If you want to know more, buy the game. Upstair is the cafe that is modelled as a tube carriage but food and drink are definitely allowed. The toilet is not very obvious but ask one of the staff, who would be more than happy to show you where it is. During your visit, don't forget to look up, the ceiling light may first appear as some random spaghetti but they are coloured and bent to show the tube map (or Journey Planner as it is called officially).

The great collection of old vehicles and a wonderful inside into the history of transport in London which is really the life blood of the community here. I am very cynical about the yearly membership that you are required to buy to enter the museum which is £25. I'm thinking that most people who visit here would be from outside the UK so they will not get to use a yearly membership. This is just a blatant cash grab and very disappointing. It shouldn't be more than £10. The gift shop is also very expensive and these two things detracted from what would have been a fantastic museum.

My son had been wanting to visit the London Transport Museum for a long time, and he was absolutely thrilled to finally be here. The highlight for him was getting his dream underground train from the gift shop, which made the day extra special. The museum is really engaging for kids, with plenty of interactive displays, and it’s also a must-visit for anyone who loves transportation and London’s history. A wonderful family outing! Maybe parents might get bored but kids are not

Very disappointed with the experience. They shipped a book to me in a flimsy cardboard box with absolutely no protection/padding. The bit of cardboard that arrived was riddled with holes and tears. The book was torn up along the spine, scuffed, dirty, dented and damaged. Really upsetting to see such lack of care as apparently zero effort went into packing this item. Will happily update this review once I have been provided with a replacement that is in an acceptable condition, though remain dubious as zero correspondence from them over email, no receipt sent on purchase. Receiving shredded remains of a book that was clearly a work of love by someone is pretty depressing.

UPDATE: A replacement was shipped to me very quickly, however also not well packaged, so kind of a miracle it arrived in an acceptable condition. I noticed their fulfilment is done by a company called 'Mosaic Fulfilment Solutions' - aptly named since it would appear you have to assemble your item like a tile artwork...

The London Transport Museum is a captivating journey through the evolution of transportation. Impeccably curated exhibits showcase the city's rich transit history, from iconic double-decker buses to vintage tube carriages. Engaging displays, interactive installations, and well-informed guides make the museum a delight for all ages. The attention to detail and commitment to preserving London's transport heritage is commendable. A visit here is not just educational but a genuinely enjoyable experience, leaving visitors with a newfound appreciation for the vital role transportation plays in...
