Monument Tube Station, nestled in the heart of London, is often overshadowed by its more famous counterparts, yet it remains a quintessential part of the city’s transport network. Opened in 1884, this station provides a charming mix of historical significance and modern convenience. One of its standout features is its direct connection to Bank Station, only a short walk away. This link is a boon for commuters and tourists alike, facilitating easy transfers between the Central, Northern, and Waterloo & City lines.

The ease of transferring at Bank cannot be overstated; it allows seamless travel to almost any destination across London. For those working in the financial district or exploring the numerous attractions nearby, the access to Bank’s extensive network means you can swiftly navigate the city without much hassle.

Exiting Monument Station is particularly convenient. Just steps away, visitors find themselves at the base of the iconic London Monument, an impressive structure commemorating the Great Fire of London. This prime location provides an immediate connection to history and serves as a fantastic backdrop for photographs. Moreover, the surrounding area is filled with shops, restaurants, and the bustling atmosphere of the City, making it an ideal spot to start a day of exploration.

The station itself is well-maintained and features helpful signage, ensuring that even first-time visitors can navigate with ease. Its compact size means that foot traffic flows smoothly, which is a blessing during peak travel hours. The combination of efficient transport links, historical relevance, and its convenient location next to the Monument makes Monument Tube Station a surprisingly valuable asset to London’s transport landscape. It's a must-use hub for both daily commuters and curious tourists alike, providing easy access to the best that the city...

One of the main stations in London where You can catch trains using Northern, District, Central, Waterloo&City, Circle Lines and Docklands Light Rail aka DLR. Connect with Bank Station via public subways. Planty help points, information signs with tube maps, actual stage of London Tube Network and advertising. Really nice stuff members. It's located next to the Monument memorial remembering about the Great Fire of London. Toilets can be found on the station, one of them, in DLR are, is under maintenance. Basically, You can get to any place in London from here. Around the station, You will find a lot of pubs, cafeterias and few shops. Bus stops around in range of 2min walking. In last few year under construction for huge capacity upgrade - to be honest, if You have been here before, check it not, great improvement and more it is on the way. Easy access and helpful...

Staff with bad attitude refused to let me in at 4.30pm for a simple cash withdrawal. As if they don’t close early enough already. For the sake of a discrepancy of 30 seconds they decide to alienate a long standing customer of over a decade. If they lack this level of common sense, no wonder everyone can’t stand people who work in banks. At 4.30 I expect to be let in. At 4.31 I could understand their pettiness given the website states what time they close. “Manager’s” rude obnoxious attitude demonstrated she didn’t care when I informed her I was closing my account with immediate effect as soon as I could reach them on the...

Attended the Livery Fair. Great sheep focused fun. Various stalls selling wool and woollen products, and other sheep derivatives including a lamb roast and sheep's milk vodka! There were representation from various Livery Companies, including the Saddlers' and Lorimers' companies (and if you know what the second of those is you're doing better than I was!), showing their crafts. Picked up a bag of the Bakers' Company wares and some delicious ice cream from Purbeck Ice Cream (sadly there isn't a Worshipful Company of Ice Cream makers!). A fun afternoon - and free if you resisted the stalls and their wears!
