Phenomenal experience from start to finish with Dan. We decided to visit Hatton Garden to find an engagement ring. We did not have any particular shop in mind. After a few hours looking around and being hustled, we felt quite disappointed with the entire experience. We decided to head home and would continue our search elsewhere. On our way back to the tube we then came across Rennie and Co's beautiful shop. It was exactly how we envisioned the shops in Hatton Garden to be. It very much stood out to be of unique quality in comparison to all other shops in Hatton Garden. We were greeted by the lovely Dan, who was able to speak with us there and then. What an asset Dan is to the shop and the industry. To say Dan knew his stuff is an understatement. Our experience just kept getting better and better. We had a very particular delicate design in mind. My partner was conscious the design would be too fragile. Dan took us through all the pros and cons on the design. Clearly detailing what was and wasn't possible. As someone who can only make a decision when all information has been sourced, Dan accomodated this perfectly. Answering each and every question with such detail and wisdom. We got to a perfect design which encapsulated the delicate design I was looking for, yet retaining the strength and stability my partner was keen to achieve. Following our initial conversation Dan got to work straight away, sourcing a range of diamonds to suit out budget, providing comparison across different qualities of the diamond. We had no hesitancy that Dan would be the one to make our ring. The process whilst the ring was being made was spot on. Dan communicated very clearly and regularly at each stage of the process. We visited Dan a few times to see the diamond and to collect the ring. Which was revealed in such a lovely special way. There was no doubt for us that Dan would be making our wedding rings. Again the process was matched. Dan took the time and care to ensure we both had exactly rhe rings we wanted. This part of the journey has been incredibly special to us and it is thanks to Dan's care, passion and thoroughness which created this. We also got to meet Dan's lovely dad on a few occasions, who demonstrated the same care and lovely nature as Dan. Its so wonderful to see such a lovely family rin business, who genuinely care about what they do. As we're now on the last stage of the process, we are sad it's come to an end and will miss our visits and catchups with Dan and to the beautiful shop. I think we'll just have to find an excuse to buy more jewellery from Dan. Thank you so much for...
Read moreWhen looking for special occasion rings in this world of online selling, we are bombarded with touched up images, false promises and no real idea of quality. Alternatively we wander up and down the High Street searching for a special jeweller, never totally sure if we picked the right one or not. Ten years ago, confused and daunted with the prospect, someone locally recommended Rennie and Co, and suddenly we knew we had found 'our jeweller'. From the minute we stepped into the Hatton Garden shop, we were treated with respect, and professionalism, but most importantly to me, no sales pushing at all. Andre has so much patience, and genuinely wanted us to be as happy as possible with our rings. He works with such precision, with responsibly sourced diamonds, and when I had ideas that would compromise the quality of a ring he sensitively suggested knowledgable alternatives, drawn from his many years as an established Hatton Garden jeweller. Initially we bought a heavy brushed platinum ring to replace my husbands gold wedding band, we added 4 more diamonds to my platinum eternity ring, and a sprinkle of diamonds to my gold wedding band. The 3 rings were, and still today are stunning, we couldn't have been any happier. This year to celebrate our 22nd wedding anniversary, we had my husband' s initial gold wedding band resized for me, and Andre added 11 beautifully cut diamonds, resulting in a really special sentimental ring. There was absolutely no hesitation about where to go for this latest ring, we have nothing but fantastic things to say about Andre and his team and fully recommend they exquisite work, they are so talented, trustworthy, and genuine...the whole experience was totally...
Read moreMyself and my fiancee are getting married in October and we decided to spend one afternoon looking for wedding rings at Hatton Gardens. My strategy was to walk past all the shops slowly and see what the people looked like inside the shops, safe in the knowledge that you actually can judge a book by its cover... most of the time. Anyway we ended up going into about half a dozen of the many ring shops trying on some bejazzled pieces and we had put one aside, which we were going to go back to and buy, when we walked past Rennie & Co. The shop passed my weird walk by test, so we went inside and were both greeted by Michael. Within the space of 30 mins Michael had looked at my fiancees finger and explained that a plain platinum band would suit her and explained the reasons why. Michael wasn't to know this by my fiancee had been talking about getting a plain band on the way to Hatton Gardens so he was immediately on the same page. His knowledge was excellent and he was absolutely spot on about the ring, as you would expect from an experienced jeweller who had been in the industry for decades. However, what took me surprise was just have lovely this man was. I can't remember for the life of me what Michael was talking about for 30 mins, but i remember getting all welled up about it all, which is unusual for me. Perhaps it was his knowledge of rings, perhaps it was how happy i could see my fiancee was, perhaps it was because he had just saved me about £2K on an over the top wedding band i was about to buy, or perhaps he was just a very special man who had good...
