I wish I can give zero star to my hair stylist YUYA. This was the worst Japan salon experience I received so far in London. The service and quality was just like QB quick cut but the price was Ā£55. My hair cut finished in 30mins plus 5mins rough hair wash. If you expect to have Japan hair salon service, please donāt come. I was very disappointed with the roughness of the hair cut skill and zero customer service received from YUYA. I cannot say he doesnāt know how to do hair cut, but he didnāt provide any details and passion on helping the customer to have better style or I can say he didnāt pay attention to details when cutting your hair. Especially when blowing my hair, I was shocked with his rough skill and blow method. Can you imagine your hair style was worst than before blowing? Also, after he finished cutting, there was no finishing like blowing the side of the hair/ advice of daily hair care. And he didnāt say anything for example teach you how to do hair care / how to blow the side of the hair etc. He just said āI have done.ā Even he didnāt guide me to go upstairs / to pick up my coat those such kind of finishing greeting. I can only concluded the service I received from him was only worth Ā£20. Beside the customer service, the hair cut quality was just like QB quick cut with no details . Regarding the hair wash, I was shocked too. There was no massage while he used the conditioner. 30mins quick cut and 5mins quick wash (worst than I wash my hair at home). Who would come again and pay for Ā£55?
His attitude was just like wanting to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI went to get my haircut here and donāt want to go anywhere else to get my hair done now! I love Japan so much, so this is a great place to go when you feel nostalgic and want to experience amazing omotenashi from the staff! I had my hair cut by Sarah, and she was lovely. She demonstrated excellent skills and attention to detail while cutting my hair. This was the first time a hairdresser in London listened to what I wanted instead of trying to convince me to do what they want, which is another reason why I will be returning in the future. She did suggest I select a treatment, which was good advice as the state of my hair is extremely damaged after a two year period of being bleached. I am usually sceptical of treatments in London, as Iāve had various ones in salons here and have been left disappointed. However, I was truly blown away by the results of the Nashi treatment on my hair. I am writing this review 10 days after my appointment, and I am still impressed. My hair has become so tamed from this treatment that I will be making it part of my hair routine every 4-6 weeks. I highly...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI moved to London a few months ago and have been searching for a salon that understands Asian hair. I chose Shunji for my second haircut here, based on the positive reviews, and specifically booked with Kana after reading so many glowing mentions. Iām happy to say those reviews were spot on.
Kana was meticulous and thoughtful throughout the entire appointment. I showed her a few photos of the long layered cut I wanted, though I wasnāt sure about the ends. She was incredibly patient, never made me feel rushed, and talked me through the options to help me decide. She paid close attention to detail, spending time to make sure the layers were even, and cut my hair dry as I requested, since thatās what Iām used to.
She was also very gentle when washing and detangling my hair, which I really appreciated. Iāve been to too many salons where theyāve yanked through tangles, pulling out what felt like half my hair. Kana was the opposite - careful and considerate. She also shared helpful tips on how to manage my hair at home.
Iām really pleased with the results and believe Iāve found my...
