When I first booked this accommodation I didn't realise it was a Halls of Residence for students and was a little worried about how it would work. But I needn't have been. Fairly easy booking in, I don't remember reading anything that said I would need ID so it was a good job I had taken my driving licence with me. We were on the 4th floor, lifts available, and in our section there were 5 rooms, one kitchen, one toilet and one shower area. There was a locked door leading to these rooms so plenty of security. ||When booking it says there isn't the chance to book meals, but what it doesn't tell you is that breakfast is free/included. On the ground floor there is a canteen where you can get a continental buffet. Plenty to eat and choose from. Booking out was quick and easy. Free Wifi was good, Easy to register and login.||We stayed 14th Sept (booked in July) so it turned out to be the day The Queen was taken to Lying-in-State at Westminster Hall and being so close to Piccadilly it meant we were able to walk to join the crowds in memory. ||||||The only complaint really is that there wasn’t a kettle in the kitchen to make a drink, though there was a microwave which we could have used to heat a cup of water, but there were only two mugs in the kitchen, I looked in all the cupboards and there was nothing else we could use. For 5 rooms with up to 10 people staying this was disappointing. ||||Also the desk clerk didn’t explain the use of the key fobs properly. We had booked two rooms, so two fobs. My daughter went through the main door first, having tapped her fob to the security lock, I followed her through. When I got to my room my key fob didn’t work. Turns out it needed to have tapped the main door lock too as this was part of its activation. It needed to be registered as being used. ||||All in all this was a good place to stay and i...

If you are budget traveller with basic neccessity with you, it is a good choice with wonderful location. But in case you care about the living standard, that won't be a good choice.

Only towers, shampoo and shower gel are provided, so you need to bring all other things apart from them. The towers are not clean. I found there are dirt sometimes. They can provide you a hairdryer if you asked.

The toilet and shower is shared, but is generally clean and no need to queue for that. But in case you don't used to fixed shower head, that would be a nightmare. The shower room door is so hard to close, a bit old and rusty.

The room is super hot during the summer especially the day time with no air conditioner, fan is a luck draw (said by the staff there, mine don't have). The wall is a bit thin and you can hear the voice from outside. The room is overall clean.

The staff is just fair, nothing special. Not super friendly but also not impolite, but is 24 hour reception so in case you have problem anytime they can help you.

But the price and location is unbeatable. 5 min walk to the British Museum, 10-15 min walk to Soho and China Town. Easy access to tube station and bus station.

They also offer great and free breakfast with breads, ham and cheese, cereal, fruits and multiple...

The LSE is a fantastic location, perfectly situated for Covent Garden, the West End, and the shops of Oxford Street. The staff were incredibly welcoming upon our arrival, and the room was spacious with a large bed that ensured a restful night's sleep. We stayed in room 201, which faces the front and overlooks the road. Given the warm weather, we opted to sleep with the windows open. However, as it's London, the street noise was significant, so I wouldn’t recommend this room to light sleepers. There was a fan in the room, which provided air circulation if we had chosen not to open the windows.Breakfast was excellent, with a vast selection of mainly cold food, including a pancake maker and toasters. The dining area was a wonderful space to sit and chat with other guests from all over the world.Unfortunately, there was one major downside: the shower in our room did not drain properly and flooded the bathroom within 40 seconds. As a result, we were unable to shower. Although the maintenance crew was on-site, they were very busy with other customers’ complaints. We waited until 10am but had to leave without a resolution. This issue alone would prevent me from booking this venue again, even though other guests seemed to have...

Apparently it's not only a hotel but also a student living space for the London School of Economics so you'll meet lots of students from different countries at the breakfast buffet which is included. There were lots of Germans, Irish, and Spanish people. The buffet seemed plain but it was sufficient. The location is great, right between two underground stations and there's also bus stops in front of the building. You'll reach key places within London in no time. The price is fine as well, compared to other accomodations in the city. Four or five rooms share a kitchen, shower room and toilet but that was fine. There's additional bathrooms in the hallways and a sink in the room. The lift situation was a bit annoying as one lift was broken and one was very slow. There was another one a bit hidden down the hallway but at "rush hour" I'd recommend taking the stairs downstairs if you're fine with walking, otherwise calcuate some waiting time for the lift. There was an aircon outlet next to my window but otherwise the noise level was fine. Every floor is cleaned on a different weekday so I got new towels once during my multiple day stay.

Best place to stay in Central London. Located near to London school of economics in Holborn. Walkable from Holborn tube station. Breakfast is very good. Rooms are also very good and well maintained. Small Kitchen is available near every room with microwave, ironing press and refrigerator, cooking and drinking water facilities. Inside room small fan and wash basin is provided. Highly recommended for students and solo trips and elderly. Very safe and staff is friendly. All central tourist locations like Trafalgar Square, Westminster Palace and London Eye are at walking distance.

Excellent value for solo travellers who want more privacy than a hostel but more reliability than a AirBnb. Great location, near major Underground and bus routes. Easy to get to from Heathrow (on Elizabeth or Piccadilly lines). Check-in was smooth. Room was basic, but to be expected from a dorm. There was some noise from pipes in the shower, but hopefully an isolated issue. The continental+ breakfast was great for getting a start for a day of touring, but it was usually crowded. Still, the staff kept up with restocking items.
