We had so much fun doing this - it was our first HiddenCity trail but we're definitely looking to do others in the future.
The puzzles were of a really good difficulty (we were four late 20s adults), and we enjoyed the way we could alter the 'plot' somewhat by our choices. We particularly loved that we got to see cool little parts of London that we'd never been to before. The trail ended up in a really cool location too :)
You could tell that the trail had been well tested, as they had appropriate info where needed, for example, they had considered common signal blackspots. The optional breaks were worked in really well and the messages/instructions were clear to understand. It was also really helpful that you could sign up several people so if one of us lost signal then another could take over. And the theme and story, being Alice themed, were perfectly to our taste :D
We were all of average fitness and able bodied, and we found the moving around just fine, the distance between clues was good and no public transport was required. There were steps involved (London does have quite a lot of steps and cobbles!) and it did require periods of walking, though there were plenty of cafes etc along the route if you did need to stop more often - note, also means opportunities to use the loo if required! I think it would be fine for children too. If a member of your team has mobility needs, definitely get in touch with the company before booking - they're very friendly and helpful, so hopefully they could advise on whether any of their trails are step free or...

The clues and ongoing story are mainly delivered via text message conversations with our whole team. Occasional destinations also required us to ask slightly peculiar questions of staff members at cafes or pubs - all of whom clearly enjoyed the process. These encounters sometimes provided physical clues but our answers were always sent back as text messages.
The walking is gentle and there are several recommended stops for refreshments, but unless you are going for speed you can take your time and investigate each location a little more than is necessary for the required answer.
The puzzles themselves are a mixture of observation, word play and a little bit of lateral thinking. None of them were stumpingly hard but many were just complex enough to leave us pleased with ourselves at having found the answer :-)
We had two minor hiccups - at one cafe a waiter played along but clearly hadn't been briefed - until a colleague rescued him; at another point one of our longer text messages was misconstrued and we found ourselves following an unexpected path at one of the (few) branches in the story. Neither of these in anyway reduced...

Jeyda here from HiddenCity. I see that you completed the Hunt for the Cheshire Cat in April and you left us great feedback. If you have 30 seconds, would you mind leaving a review on our Google page too? I’m trying to spread the word about our experiences and I think that would be really helpful!
Here’s what you originally wrote so you can copy and paste straight into Google:
I would of given this 5 stars. However, it was really frustrating when at one point our signal dropped out. We were then text by a different number. Then this stopped working and the initial one reactivated, but it had not caught up with us answeringthe other number! Therefore, our answers were wrong due to it being on the previous questions! We at times were just sat around waiting for someone to send us something! I seemed to have signal at all times on my phone at these times.I got through on the phone once but then could not get through at all when we rang again. Left a message but no one returned call! if we had none of these issues the day was perfect. I did it with just myself and my 13.5 year old and we did...
