I have never been to Zizzi, I always walked past it not sure why considering I love pasta... I digress.... came here after a boring work event which had minimal food leaving us haangry... I had a train to catch so we opted for something quick. Service was fine, it was a Wednesday night, there was space.. we are seated downstairs. I didn't see a lift so not sure what the position is re accessibility. Service was nice, everyone was cheerful. Food cake relatively quickly. I had a strawberry or maybe it was raspberry and lime drink... it was awful... tasted of nothing... it was still there when I left. I had a goats cheese ravioli... can't remember the actual name. As I am trying to cut down went for an under 600 cals option. It was quite nice to be fair. It looked small but I got quite full whilst eating.. not sure If it had anything to do with the 4 glasses of prosecco I had before hand.. but either way I didn't leave hungry. The restuarant itself is nicely decorated and quite a chilled vibe. Good for catching up with friends. Il go again. Sorry didn't take much pics.

Generally just an ok experience, food could do with a kick of flavour. The venue is located down a set of stairs (so not wheelchair friendly!) Nice and spacious, music set at just the right level. Ordered: Mozzarella arancini - just didn't really taste of much and the honey dip was far too sweet, would be better accompanied with a spicy tomato sauce. Cheesy chilli garlic bread - as named, quite tasty and plenty of cheese! Wanted the salmon carbonara but was sold out so went for the normal chorizo - again think this lacked a real punch of flavour. The dark cherry and amaretto cheesecake for dessert - this was divine! Drank the passion fruitini - lovely!! Too easy to drink! The waiter seemed generally a bit confused and came across as quite new. He made several attempts to take our plates before realising someone was still eating. We also had to request for 3 scoops of ice-cream as per the menu says for one of our group as he had only put it down as one.

One of the best casual dining on the strand. It doesn’t require bookings (of course better with one). It welcomes walk-ins. The ambience is relaxing and casual. People are talking quite loudly but it’s overall a slightly crowded restaurant. There are so many options for pasta. They all look very juicy and tasty. 🤤 I chose the one that’s spicy, with chicken - Casareccia pollo piccant. It is indeed a bit hot, but totally bearable. The chicken is not dry at all. The portion is good. My friend ordered Pesto Rosso. She mentioned that it was also tasty. The staff gave us some parmesan cheese on our pasta, which added quite some flavour. The service is good, from the receptionist to the serving staff, they are all very accommodating. The decor of the restaurant is quite trendy. Definitely a nice place to have a casual meal and chat. For this price, along the strand, it is a very good option.

The atmosphere was lively for a 9 pm visit. Food came out fast and service of the food was great. I gave mid-grade scores because The menu was VERY limited. There were very few items on the menu for anyone who has dietary restrictions. I am intolerant to milk and also can't have tomato based sauces due to acid reflux. I wish there had been a pasta on the menu with a garlic oil sauce or even that they simply made carbonara the traditional way instead of with milk. Garlic bread was literally the only item on the menu I could get. I just find it strange that in such a big city where so many tourists frequent that the options were so few and the staff seemed not to be able to let me know if there was milk in certain menu items. I understand that my allergies are not mainstream so don't hold the staff accountable for this in any way. Just if they could have come up with a quick fix such as making me a nice pasta with olive oil, herbs, a bit of lemon or any kind of offer to make something work would have been appreciated. Overall it was a great feel in the space but I cannot comment on the quality of the food other than the garlic bread which was good but dry. Had to ask for garlic butter to get it down. Just know that if you have any secondary dietary restrictions this is not the Italian restaurant for you. Everyone I was with however seemed to enjoy their food a lot so hope...

Very peculiar... We went to see a show at the theatre across the road. Knowing the show would end at about 10:15pm we thought we should make a reservation for after this. We saw the Zizzi across the street so thought it a good option. I went on the website to see if we could make a reservation, it allows for reservation up to 10:45pm as it closes at 11. Made a reservation for 10:30 I had my phone on silent obviously during the show. I had a missed call from a London number.. We got over to the restaurant at 10:15 and the place was empty and the waitress said we're closed. (This was Saturday and they are open until 11 according to the website) We said we had a reservation for 10:30 (so we were actually early).. Apparently they called me at 10 to see if we were coming.. Not sure why as our reservation was for 10:30!... she begrudgingly showed us to a table and said we have to order quick... We considered leaving but didn't know where else to go at that time.. We ordered but just felt uncomfortable and rushed. The waitress then switched modes and was very friendly.. The food was nice but the experience wasn't. Either you can make reservation for that time or not, you are open until 11 or not.. Get your...

Zizzi Italian restaurant is anything but standard for you!

Amazing experience at this outlet “The Strand”. The menu is indeed Italian but the food is sooooo good! It has a fusion and twist to the way they cook it. Take our Rustic Sticky Pig Pizza 🍕for example, it has slices of pork skin on it. 🐷 It was so crispy that it crackles when we bite into it! (And roasted or fried pork skin is such a Chinese dish) Well done on this creation and very rightly, a highly recommended dish. They also use a traditional pizza oven to bake the pizza. (See pic) 👩‍🍳

The staff are all very friendly! Asked for a quiet table setting and they brought us to an unseated section. This would mean the waiter would need to walk further just to serve us and they did it anyway. That is very good service, it shows the waiter is listening to our request and is willing to go the extra mile. They are polite, cheerful and very helpful, well done and keep up the good work! 👨👩🏼‍🦰Restaurant is also spotlessly clean. Such a great restaurant to be dining in.👍👍👍

I highly recommend you make a reservation ahead of time. We sat down at 5.30pm and by 6.30pm, they were completely filled....
