We were in London for an event and used this salon for various hair treatments, both for male and female customers.
The whole experience started on a sour note when we were called by a rude male demanding to know why we hadnât turned up for our appointment, when I fact he had got the time wrong and we still had 30 mins before our appointments had started.
On arrival We were approached by the same extremely unpleasant male as we entered the salon (not sure if he was the owner of the salon) he appeared to be co ordinating the staff and watching over them the whole time.
His whole behaviour, aura, unwelcoming unpleasant attitude made us feel uncomfortable as soon as we arrived, a horrible man.
The staff who carried out our treatments were pleasant enough. Iâd like to call out Jackie inparticular who was exceptional, so pleasant, patient and professional. She did an outstanding job on my hairstyle.
A further manâs blow dry which took less than 5 mins cost ÂŁ54,00, again no haircut involved etc, just a blow dry which literally took around 3mins to do. This dropped out after 2hrs so had to redo ourselves. Waste of money!
The older staff member with pink hair who carried out a hair dye and blow dry did a terrible job Iâm afraid. It was a complete miss match of hair colour- looked awful and spoiled the event ! The eyebrows and hair were died from a medium blonde to jet black, particularly disappointing given we specifically asked for a colour match. Waste of money! This along with a blow dry costed ÂŁ124.00- unbelievable! Please note, no hair cut included here. The blow dry dropped out after 2 hrs also so we ended up having to buy hair products to redo ourselves.
The prices here are extortionate, completely not worth what they change!
Iâd go elsewhere and not...
Read moreI booked a wedding hair up-do appointment (more than two weeks ago) for 1pm and arrived early. When I checked in, the receptionist confirmed with me that it was my wedding hair appointment. At that point, the stylist (who was still with another client) called out that she would be â10 minutes more.â I expected to be seated around 1:10â1:15.
By 1:25, however, my stylist was still busy and had actually only just started cutting her clientâs hair after drying. I then overheard her tell the client that she would be taking a break between her appointments, which made it clear Iâd be waiting much longer. By that stage, I had already waited 25 minutes past my scheduled appointment on what should have been a very special day.
Since I was on a tight schedule, I felt I had no choice but to leave. When I told the receptionist I was leaving because it was my wedding day, and I had noticed it would be a much longer wait, his response was careless, a shrug and a quick âsorryâ with no genuine concern or apology.
I canât comment on the quality of cuts, colours, blow-dries or up-dos, because I never got the chance to sit down. But if you book here, expect long delays and little consideration for your time.
This was meant to be an exciting and special appointment, but instead I left feeling very disappointed...
Read moreI made the snap decision on Friday morning that I was going to get my hair cut short. I say snap decision but it was actually something I had considered doing for a while and hadnât quite plucked up the courage to do so. Clearly I was feeling brave as I whipped open Wahanda at 11am and had booked myself in for a cut at a nearby hairdresser for 1:30pm, eek!
I was really nervous about finally taking the plunge but I took the above picture of Taylor Swift who is my current style icon along with me and the stylist agreed that the look would really suit me and whipped me off to get my hair washed. The mini head massage that was given was also a boost as work had been pretty stressful that morning. I had butterflies as I was getting it cut but once the first snip was made that was it! Anyway, hair always grows back doesnât it? She actually cut it a little shorter than I has expected and it graduates so itâs a bit longer at the front â while it was still wet I was a little worried about what I had done but as she started to dry it I started to relax a lot more and by the end I was...
