Unprofessional and rude staff. Booked in for a massage for myself and my friend for their birthday. Turn up to the appointment and told it had been cancelled due to ‘credit card fraud’. Turns out the receptionist had booked us under someone with the same names profile using their account details. No apology offered - receptionist was rude and dismissive. Given we had taken the day off work and were then accused of pretending to be someone else I can safely say we will NEVER be booking back here again.

In response to the owners reply… There was no apology given or discounted rate offered. When we asked if that would be possible we were told that that would not happen. Your receptionist was extremely rude and we were made to feel like it was our fault they had booked us under the wrong name. Being accused of pretending to be someone else to commit fraud is extremely offensive. Given that we had taken the day off work and it was my friends 30th birthday that day we would have thought there would have been at least some acknowledgement or apology. I booked a 60-minute massage and a 60-minute facial, expecting a full two-hour experience, but I was finished 20 minutes early, which felt disappointing. The massage itself was underwhelming—more like a light rub than an actual massage, with no real technique or pressure. It didn’t feel effective at all.

Another issue was the pricing. They advertise a 20% discount for new customers, but I only received £10 off, which felt misleading. It left the impression of a bait-and-switch rather than a genuine offer.

This place has very high ratings, but in my opinion, it’s not worth it. I suspect the ratings are influenced by their practice of giving out product samples in exchange for reviews, which I noticed while I was there.

We had the most incredible massages at Shoreditch Spa. Doncho gave one of the best massages I've ever had - he was firm and put the right pressure, and also worked pretty fast so there was a lot of work done, while still managing to make it super relaxing. Highly recommended for deep tissue massage. My mum had a more gentle Swedish massage and loved it too. The team were really welcoming, patient and kind. The ambiance in the therapy room was lovely, really peaceful music (piano I think) and the lights were super low/off. Small touches like a hot towel midway through the massage really made it stand out. The prices aren't low, but I'd rather pay that extra £10 and know I'm getting a brilliant massage, than go a little cheaper and risk being disappointed - Shoreditch Spa is pretty much guaranteed to make...
