Dined in 3 January 2024 for a birthday date When you see £££ believe it!! I knew it was pricy, but whew, I was not expecting that!! As soon as we walked in and saw the dining area, we felt under-dressed for how fancy the setting looked. But, as we walked in, we saw others in sweaters and sneakers. There is a free coat check by the receptionist before you are shown to your seat. She then walks you to your seat and provides the menu before your waitstaff greets you. The view of the bridge lighting up the night from inside is nice if you get a seat near the windows. Our table was more located in the center of the restaurant, but we were still able to have an okay view. Our server was Alessio. He asked for our drinks order: 1x glass of wine, 1x virgin pina colada, and later 1x virgin mojito, then when he returned, he asked if we plan on having steaks. Once I responded yes, he quickly disappeared...I was so confused before he popped back out with a tray of various cuts of steak (see attached image). He then proceeds to explain each cut and recommended pairings. After explaining, he disappears again, assumingly this time to take the tray back. He returned shortly afterward and took our dinner order. We ordered two cuts of churrasco Lomo (we actually wanted the ribeye steak, but I guess he heard otherwise. We didn't fuss). The steak *was* ahhhmazing!! One steak, for the birthday boy, was topped with a half grilled lobster (yes, grilled lobster is listed on the menu as a "topping"), mashed potatoes, and mac & cheese. The other steak was accompanied by roasted vegetables. I'm not sure what type of vegetables were all there, but a few cubes were not pleasing to taste. The carrots, beet, and potato were good, though. Minus the unknown vegetables, the food was great. The setting was great. There were two other parties there celebrating a birthday as well. I planned on having cake or some other dessert to celebrate, but we were entirely too full to even consider it. We didn't even finish our food and had to take some to-go. After we were done eating and decided we did not want dessert, I asked for the bill fully expecting mid-£100s, but was taken aback when I saw the actual amount. Keep in mind, too, 12.50% gratuity was also added. I'm used to automatic gratuity being added for parties of 5 or more, not for 2 people. Wow. Anyway, I paid and we left. Since we were there to celebrate a birthday, I was okay with the cost as I know it would be thee only time I went there. I would recommend trying it for a one-time experience, but I'm sure you can get similar food and experience somewhere else for a better price.

I have heard about Gaucho from anyone and everyone but finally got a chance to visit the London Bridge branch for dinner. We were after steak. Gaucho is KNOWN for Argentinian style steak and this brand serves halal steak. All four in the party ordered steak and my three sidekicks went uncouth with the medium steak whereas I stayed true with medium rare. Please forget the old ‘bloody’, ‘raw’ meat as modern butchery and meat methods mean that meat is cured and aged nowadays for considerable times. This reduces the water/blood content and much of the protein matures and develops deeper flavour as the natural msg content increase through this method. Once cooked, the meat is rested for a long period to allow the moistures to reabsorb into the meat fibres. This all means that the meat requires less cooking to be the perfect texture to enjoy. Order medium rare and taste what you have been missing. My fellow diners and I eat in a sharing style. We ordered the Burata salad - very delicious with the fresh creamy cheese and the fresh salad. We went for the truffle arancini, these were crispy and light on the outside while being rich, cheesy, moist and truffly goodness on the inside. There was also the prawns in a fresh tomato sauce and garlic bread, although quite simple, the prawns were good quality, well cooked and elevated the dish with a punchy piece of garlic bread. Finally, we had ordered the fresh bread which was excellent and a must for any dinner. For mains, we all went for steak, me with medium rare and the others with the medium. We went for a few sides including the amazing chips (must order), the broccoli (to help balance the richness of the meat, Mac and cheese (very good), garlic mushrooms (very good), béarnaise sauce (excellent), creamy mashed potato (yum!) and we tried the humita (too rich). The medium steak was felt to be a bit chewy all around. My medium rare was really good BUT all the steaks could have done with a bit of trimming. The meat was good but I would probably order one steak to share between two. All in the food was very good but the waiter was very friendly, welcoming and helped make the evening memorable. Great good in a lovely location on the River Thames.

I am fan of Gaucho, but the service received on Sat, the 6th, @Tower location did not compare at all with Gaucho's standards.. I booked the table for me and my friend who were both celebrating our Bdays and for the 1st time ever they did not do anything special: no dessert, no candles , nothing.. we went for the lunch deal with 3 courses and the dessert was included but they did not bother to even write Happy Bday on the already included desserts... our orders got mixed up: first, 2 of the starters were the same when one should have been empanadas instead of prawns ( we did not say anything; we left it as it is so fine, let's say it was our fault). Then, one of the sauces for the stake was wrong: mushroom instead of blue cheese ; and I politely mentioned it when it was served, saying that I can have it as it is, no need to change it now. But I got no apology, nothing. I must say that they have refurbished the location so I was excited to see it. The last time I've been here was 2 years ago. We were placed on one of the tables with the couches but wooow! So uncomfortable it was! I kept on hitting my knees into the top of the table, the couches were too close to it and I had to keep my feet on the steel base as there was no room due to the couches being too close to the table. Also the height of the table altogether with the low couch is not a comfortable combination at all! Anyway, at least the food did not disappoint. Maybe I got used to the very best service of Gaucho and that specific location was too touristic. Avoid it if you want a proper experience. Attaching some pics of the no special Bday dessert.

We came here as I fancied a Sunday roast and have never tried Gaucho for it. The atmosphere was lively and busy for a Sunday with a great view of Tower Bridge from our table which would look really beautiful if we were dining at night. I had sea bass ceviche to start which was amazing! Loved the jalapeños on top. As for my main, I wouldn’t come back to specifically have a roast dinner here again. The sirloin beef I received was half meat, half fat having to cut my way round it all like an obstacle course. Everybody knows a Sunday roast is 90% judged on the roast potato and these weren’t up to scratch (sorry chef!). Not crispy on the outside and fluffy and light on the inside, these were more dense and thick on the inside. I had a bite of one, and left the rest. The Yorkshire was amazing. My partner chose the 450g chateaubriand for his main which was so nice (I got food envy). Service was pleasant but attention to detail not great as we were left sitting with oil on the table (from the bread and oil basket we ordered) between starter and main course. The waiter had returned after our starter to give a steak knife to my partner, didn’t clean the oil and didn’t redress my cutlery so when the staff came with the mains, I had to ask for more. They also failed to notice the oil left on the table and were going to put our mains on top of it. We had to ask for it to be cleaned.

First time at Gaucho. Were for a birthday party. Food wise it was perfect, never had expierience that someone brings raw meet to show and explain the steak meat, it came on wooden board, and that was amazing, we ordered samplers that include 4 different steak meat, meat was perfectly Medium Rare cooked. It was delicious, all the side dishes garnish was fabulous, especially corn, sauces were very nice. Overall the dishes were just amazing. Ordered dessert, whent for Don Pedro, ice cream walnuts and Rum, and that was the best Rum ice ive ever had. Drink wise, love the way they serve Jack Daniels and coke, come separate, coke in glass bottles, not from the tap, that was lovely. Tried some other cocktails, not my taste, and they were not for us at all. Service wise - service were speedy and fun, managers and serving stuff was friendly and fun too, no problem with service, there is so many of them that there is no wait at all. Top notch. Keep up a good work. Atmosphere it self very modern and nise, ground floor was to cold to sit and toilet facilities, had to make a small complaint, thats why 4 stars on review only. Upstairs was nice and cozy. Overall very good expierience.

We pre booked for a group and had to pay some in advance. Unfortunately some people dropped on the last minute, but this has not been an issue with the restaurant been very understanding. The menu choose by us was the signature, that was very nice, however I felt that some of the entrees could be a larger portion, such as the empanada. The tirado de tuna was splendid though! I could have a whole meal only if that. The steak was cooked to perfection and melting in the mouth, magnificent. As the main reason to go there you definitely would be happy for it. For desserts, the most favourite of the group was the Dulce de leche cheesecake, the others were way too sweet for us. I would imagine that simply an spoon of the Dulce de Leche would suffice for me, definitely Argentinians know how to do it. The staff was outstanding and we felt comfortable and welcome! We didn’t went to the red wines this time, but clearly they had very good red Argentinians! Lastly, superb views of the Tower Bridge made our evening the best!
