Read moreDidn't even eat here, because it was such a stressful experience. I've heard Five Guys is supposed to be a good/high quality chain for being fast food, so wanted to try it. While trying to read the menu, we were yelled at (as the restaurant was noisy) asking if we needed help by three different people, some asking more than once. I was there with my legally blind and partially deaf father-in-law, and explained that he was legally blind and deaf to all three people, and that we were reading and translating the menu for him as there was no physical menu that was readable to him. There were only two ordering screens, of which one was broken, and the other occupied, and my father-in-law wasn't able to read off of the menu chart that was a few metres away as he is legally blind, and there were no physical handheld menus. Maybe this is the norm in fast food restaurants in England, but it was incredibly stressful to have the same question being yelled at you every 30 seconds after explaining their menus are not readable to visually impaired people. Even if that weren't the case, we got no time to even look at the menu before being asked repeatedly to place an order despite being the only ones in the restaurant besides one other person who used the ordering screen anyway. I've never experinced such a stressful environment even in fully packed restaurants. The menu was small and quite expensive for what it is as well. I don't blame the workers, I know they are most likely asked to be this insisting, but if you're a manager or CEO reading this: No one likes this kind of customer "service". It's stressful, disrespectful towards disabled people who need extra time, and it makes people want to leave...
Read moreIf you're seeking a meal with an unparalleled view of Tower Bridge, this Five Guys location offers just that. The first floor provides a stunning panorama of the iconic bridge, making it an ideal spot for a drink and a snack while soaking in the scenery.
However, when it comes to the food, the experience falls short. The prices are steep, even by London standards—expect to pay nearly £23 for a burger, fries, and a drink. Despite the premium pricing, the quality doesn't match up. The burgers are smaller than anticipated and lack the robust flavor often associated with Five Guys in the U.S. Some patrons have noted that the burgers here are comparable to a standard home-cooked cheeseburger, rather than the gourmet experience one might expect for the price.
The fries, while generous in portion, are often criticized for being overly salty and inconsistent in quality.
Recommendation: If you're in the area and wish to enjoy the view, consider purchasing just a drink and enjoying the complimentary peanuts while you take in the sights. For a more satisfying meal, exploring nearby dining options might be a...
