An Unforgettable Dining Experience in a Riverside Igloo
Our visit to Coppa Club Tower Bridge was nothing short of magical. Nestled along the Thames with picture-perfect views of the Tower Bridge and city skyline, the riverside igloos on their terrace are an experience in themselves.
We were fortunate to have one of the nine exclusive igloos – a cosy, intimate space with warm lighting, plush seating, and gentle heaters, perfect for a private evening with loved ones.
We began our evening with Warm Seeded Sourdough – beautifully crisp on the outside and fluffy inside. The accompanying miso & poppy seed butter was rich, nutty, and slightly sweet, offering a unique twist to a traditional starter.
For my starter, I went with the Seared Garlic Prawns – a standout dish. The sustainably sourced king prawns were perfectly cooked, juicy, and soaked up the flavours of the tomato, feta & wild oregano sauce, which was both tangy and fragrant. The toasted sourdough focaccia served alongside was ideal for mopping up the delicious sauce.
My wife opted for the Burrata, which was wonderfully creamy, paired with a minty courgette pesto and a refreshing ezme-style marinated heritage tomato salad – a fresh, vibrant dish full of summery flavours.
For mains, I had the Coppa Fish & Chips – a classic done right. The fresh haddock fillet was encased in a light, crispy batter, flaky inside and piping hot. The minted peas were bright and flavorful, and the triple-cooked chips were satisfyingly crunchy on the outside and fluffy within. A dollop of homemade tartare sauce and a squeeze of lemon brought everything together beautifully.
My wife chose the Devon Crab Linguine, which was light yet flavourful – the hand-picked white crab meat was sweet and tender, brought to life with a touch of chilli, garlic, chives, and lemon. It was a refreshing and delicate main course that didn’t feel heavy.
To finish, we indulged in two stunning desserts. The Chocolate Mousse with hazelnut praline was velvety, rich, and decadently smooth, with a delightful crunch from the praline. The Tirami-chou, a creative play on tiramisu and choux pastry, was served with a warm chocolate sauce and chocolate crunch – an absolute delight that blended textures and flavours perfectly.
To accompany our meal, we enjoyed two alcohol-free cocktails. The Popstar Martini – a vibrant mix of passion fruit, pineapple, vanilla, and Blanc de Blancs 0% sparkling – was tropical and refreshing without being too sweet. The Crodino Spritz offered a more citrusy, slightly bitter profile, making it a lovely alternative to a traditional aperitif.
The service throughout the evening was fantastic – attentive, warm, and genuinely friendly. Every team member made us feel welcome and well cared for. If you're planning to visit, I highly recommend booking one of the igloos. They offer a unique and intimate dining experience with unbeatable views, perfect for special occasions or simply making an ordinary evening feel extraordinary.

Cons: .Food was missed off the order and once it arrived it was the wrong portion size and described as "slimly and disgusting" by the person eating itsee the seafood linguine photo below The steak was tough and when they asked if I wanted it or pink or well-done I didn't realise that both options are just well-done.
.staff seem really over worked or they sort of just didn't care, kind of couldn't figure out which one it was. The first to serve us was clearl very distracted and came across as frustrated at us ordering (even kissed their teeth when we questioned were some drinks were)... The second was rude beyond words, lots of questioning us and when admitting that the previous member of staff had missed the food off of the order simply said "soooo... Yeah" and walked away? Once the plates had been cleaned away She then brought the bill over to us twice and the card machine on the third trip to our table without anyone asking (still drinks left to finish) and told us that despite our booking saying that we had the take till 6pm we actually had to leave by 15:20 so she could get it ready for the next group and also told us off for being late to the booking, we advised we were early and she replied "well I don't know anything about that" now I know the US and the UK do handle service very differently but maybe being a little less like her homeland might have helped make for a more enjoyable time out.
.Drinks arrived late (30mins) or just not at all
Now once the manager became involved (at his own volition) he did try and smooth things over, the very late round of drinks was given to us free of charge and the seafood linguine was taken off of the bill as well as the service charge (which actually wasn't we had to send the bill back to amend) so I cannot fault that they did try and help where they could but honestly we'd all of rather it hadn't needed to get to that point. The 2nd star on service is all...
Read moreWe came here for my brother’s 18th birthday. Emailed & rang to confirm they would put a ‘happy birthday’ sign on my brother’s plate (so no birthday freebie, just a sign in icing), but when the plate arrived, this was not there. I saw our booking notes on the screen when we arrived did have it noted, no waiter even wished him happy birthday. Doesn’t seem like a big deal, but when you’ve paid way over the £35pp minimum spend per person, that little touch would have been nice. The food itself was quite mediocre, chips were lukewarm. We each got a main, dessert, 1 alcoholic drink each & 1 starter to share between us all. My dad asked the waiter if a beer was a lager, the waiter said it was, but it was actually an IPA. So when it arrived, he didn’t want to drink it, and no swap was offered, he just paid for a new drink. The booking confirmation said we had the table from 5:30-7:45, but at 7:10, the waiter came asking for the bill and said we had to leave as they had back to back bookings. Now usually these little things I wouldn’t usually mind and wouldn’t have thought about leaving a review, but after spending £172 (inc £19 service charge), I just don’t think the service matched the price we paid. It was a £35 min spend pp, which looking at the website, has now gone up to £45pp. The igloo we had also was quite chilly, I knew this would be the case, but in early October it was bearable, I can’t imagine what it would be like in the winter! You definitely pay for the beautiful setting, the view was incredible and we loved having our own private igloo. I went to the coppa club in Putney two years ago for another birthday and had the most incredible experience, the staff couldn’t have been more helpful, and another spectacular view. But this time we left with a bit of a lukewarm feeling, and wished for such a special occasion like an 18th, we went somewhere else. Other places like the Ivy, Harry’s dolce vita, flat iron etc offer far better service, food and value for money in...
