After initially giving our sale instructions to two other reputable and large "global' firms with flashy pitches, websites and promises and not getting the results we wanted despite being in the hottest selling market in the recent decade, I decided to call Stuart at Vickers who we originally bought the property from 6 years ago. Within a few weeks he was able to generate offers for us which eventually led to a successful sale - what was the difference? Having firms with global national footprints is great, but when you are trying to sell a family home in a very residential neighbourhood, you need to know your audience and how to sell the neighbourhood, and for that you cannot beat the experience and knowledge of what is an independent local agent (I hope Winkworth doesn't lose sight of this as they have now completed the merger with Vickers). Stuart was calm, cool, professional, diligent and knew who the right audience for my property was - he didn't tell me about the dozen viewings which didn't matter, but called me for the few that he said were the right ones and kept me updated. Most importantly - he worked hard to close the deal. I would only pick him for selling my other property in Maida Vale.
