Such a gem of Chinatown. I've been coming here since childhood, yet for some reason everyone I bring along always says the same thing: "oh, I've walked past this place before!" They always question why they never went in when I show them in. While never intending to go in to buy anything, they always end up finding something that is just too good for them to leave behind.

This shop provides so many items that are both useful to the Chinese community and non-Asian people who are interested in the culture and might want to buy gifts. Many things which I have needed have been bought from this place, such as incense, a tea set, a xiangqi/weiqi board and xiangqi and weiqi pieces (both sets of pieces coming with a plastic mat travel board too). Calligraphy tools are also provided, which I have not needed yet but may soon.

I would definitely recommend coming here to at least have a look around, even if you're not intending to...

Owner was literally racist, came in to do shopping and he kept staring at me as im a hijabi. Whilst another customer spoke to us rudely he juss laughed. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS SHOP TO ANYONE!!!!!!!

UPDATE: We did not do anything that seemed suspicious, i get that keeping an eye is important but then smirking and laughing whilst ur WHITE customer is rude to ur customers wearing hijabs who are girls is just plain racism. Also, we stood there for maximum 10 minutes and we asked the man if he wanted to take a look and he declined, we had no idea he was waiting. You are taking no accountability for your actions just because he was a white man. Hopefully you dont get treated this way when you go to another store and dont get prejudiced against. Been in this shop several times with different people, we have always bought a lots of items and left a lots of money . Unfortunately the older woman who works in this shop(probably the owner) can not hide her contempt for her customers. She seems annoyed,arrrogant and entiteled,shes not pleasant or helpful at all. do not ask her anything because she dont care and dont want to be bothered by her customers.at best she can answer your question with a one word answer,and force a grin on her grumpy face but you can tell its fake.
