Takeaway L'ITALIANO — Local services in Nottingham

Previously I've had nothing but great experiences with this place and have found their pizzas to be delicious and affordable. Unfortunately though I need to leave this review as on my order last night the coleslaw I was sent was very obviously gone off when it arrived, a fact I only realised after taking a bite, a mistake I'm regretting deeply with stomach cramps and a runny tummy this morning. It was completely sour and had very clearly gone foul some time ago. I showed it to my housemates who agreed it was clearly spoiled and inedible. No excuse for sending out gone off food really.

Edit: very funny that the owner is calling me a biased customer for complaining about gone off food lol. What different "ways" are there to "solve" being sent fouled egg products? Seems a pretty fair reason for leaving a review, feel like any responsible owner would realise this and simply apologise. "One item shouldn't colour the whole review" is a pretty psychotic thing for a restaurant owner to say when that item made a customer ill. Don't worry I don't make a habit of eating at places that don't check their sides haven't putrefied before sending them out! :)

I am a person who very much HATES trying a new place because I'm such a picky person (example being I love the Pizza Italia in gedling but refuse to order from the one in city centre because they do things differently) so I was worried about this place, however it has exceeded my expectations of a city centre takeaway. First off the pizza looks ah-mazing all the time which really helps me because it looks tasty and by god is it!! Its amazing for me! The only issue I have is with the cheesy chips but its not the cheesy chips themselves! Its the packaging as it tends to stick quite badly to it and makes everything soggy (However in no-way is it the fault of the business, I'm just an absolute weirdo and love crispy cheesy chips haha) the food is always amazing and this is now my go-to takeaway place while in my student...

The kindest staff in the ENTIRE world! I cannot vouch for their pizza (although it looks amazing and I plan to tell all of my friends to only ever order from L'Italiano's in future) but I CAN vouch for the incredibly kind staff members! On Friday afternoon, I slipped on a curb and sprained my ankle badly on the street. I was sat on a chair outside L'Italiano in huge amounts of pain when one of their staff members ran out of the shop and INSISTED on driving myself and my friends home as I could not walk. With staff that kind, their pizzas must be made with all the care in the world. I just wanted to say THANK YOU and to encourage others to order from a business with such wonderful staff.
